Replacing tiles and installing insulation.

"Aldridge Roofing is definitely reliable. Because of overhead wiring, the job was complicated by the inclusion in the programme of UK Energy providing their free protection service. Aldridge's slot depended on when UK Energy could do their bit, which meant waiting a while for them. Unfortunately, Aldridge's scaffolder miscalulated what was required to protect the overhead wiring, which meant my having to arrange another visit from UK Energy before the scaffolder could erect his scaffolding. This further delay meant I missed my slot with Aldridge's tilers but Mr Aldridge came up trumps and kindly squeezed in my job despite his full workbook, since he recognised the inconvenience was not of my making. And the discovery that extra roof insulation required was dealt with on the same day rather than having to book another date, with more delays and scaffolding hanging about in the interim. So I am very satisfied with the service I received and a job well done."

"Excellent workmanship! Friendly team of workers. Worked around our regular user groups and no people attending sessions raised any complaints.
Very tidy workers who went round picking up any bits of rubbish which had blown in the wind.
Fully informed through every stage of the roof.

Replaced existing bay roof with lead roof.

"Rob responded promptly to my initial email and was able fit in a site visit fairly quickly despite the fact that he was busy. He was clearly experienced and following the site visit I was confident that he would do the job well and with integrity. The date of the work was set and although this had to be changed we were informed of the delay and a new date was set and kept to.

Rob removed several layers of roofing and took the roof back to its ‘bones’. He took photos of the whole process so it was evident how carefully he repaired cracks before laying the lead roof.

He was methodical in his approach and skilled at working with lead.

I am pleased with the end result and happy that I was able to engage a tradesman who actually knew what he was doing - none of the previous roofers knew to place a lip over the edge of the bay masonry to prevent ingress of water.

Strip old flat roof felt and boards. Make repairs to and treat some joists. Replace boards and supply new membrane and felt.

"I had seen Aldridges' vehicles around town and decided check out some of their reviews. As a result of the good reviews we decided to ask them to provide a quotation for the replacement of our Flat roof. Whilst the roof hadn't leaked we believed from a surveyors report that it may well need replacing owing to its age.
We purchased and moved into the property during Covid 19 lockdown.
Robert Aldridge came and inspected and measured the dimensions of the roof (it is a large area covering an annexe to the property).
We discussed when would be an ideal date for the works to be undertaken and Rob thought that he may be able to accomodate our requirement.
The quotation arrived broken down into different sections and with the company's Terms and conditions.All very clear.
We accepted the quotation and works were scheduled.
A week before the project was due to start we were advised that the works would start a week later owing to another project over running. This was not a problem and we appreciated the weeks notice.
Once started the job progressed well despite some unforeseen challenges which were dealt with efficiently and no fuss. The company have very much a can-do mentality.
We had Robert and Taz (one of Aldridges staff) to strip on a couple of days and they both worked well together. Robert laid the new roof.
We are pleased that we chose Aldridge's for the quality of work the engaging way that they approached the project and the communication/updates.
We would certainly recommend them to others and in fact have just suggested another possible client to them for a large tiled roof.
They are an excellent company to deal with!

Considerable roofwork including replacement lead flashing on gable ends chimney stacks, and removal and replacement of ridge tiles. Also re-felting of flat roof.

"This work took place over several weeks and involved various aspects of roofwork. All work was undertaken in a professional manner and carried out to a high standard of workmanship. All work carried out was explained in detail and care taken when working; nothing was too much trouble. The workmen were hard working and respectful of our needs and wishes and polite at all times.

I am so impressed with Aldridge Roofing and would not hesitate to use them in the future should the need arise. Wholeheartedly recommended."

Remove rubber roofing put on by a cowboy roofing company. Identify issues with the roof, treat timbers. Fit a warm roof with insulation and fresh felt. Fit facia and guttering and flash in roof and Fit around chimney. Sign off with building control inspection.

"After a very bad experience with another company Rob Aldridge came to the rescue and rectified our flat roof problems. He gave a clear quote and laid out issue that may be of concern. He arrived on the date arranged and worked tirelessly to give us a fabulous new flat roof. He found some rot that had been missed by another company and resolved this within the price of the quote and kept us informed throughout the job, even arranging for building control to come and inspect as we were adding new insulation and a chimney. A really great service and more than value for money. Thank you Rob fr saving us an our poor roof!!"
