Remodelling of property to make it open plan and more suited to our requirements. This involved opening the existing kitchen to join with the existing dining area and adding large sliding doors to allow additional light into the property. Increasing the size existing hallway to make it more suitable for family use, as well as the addition of an utility.

"After being let down by our architect and feeling like we were getting nowhere with our renovation, we contacted Gormac construction. During our first meeting with Ewan we felt instantly at ease and like we had finally found someone who would help us achieve the vision we had for our home.

From the get go Grant and the building team were friendly, accommodating and did everything they could to keep us informed of what was happening, working with us to make the process as easy as possible.

The team showed the upmost level of professionalism, communication and attention to detail.

The project ran like clockwork. We knew exactly what was going to be completed each week and the project was delivered, about 4-6 weeks faster than anticipated.

The quote was itemised and tracked through delivery, so you knew exactly what had been completed and what was remiaining. Any changes which there were very few, the team ensured we were consulted on and provided options to overcome.

We couldn’t be happier with the end result and not only will we use them again we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Gormac construction to anyone.

Gormac knocked down garage and replaced it with a single storey extension.

"From the beginning of the project Ewan demonstrated that he was keen to do our project and ensured that we were kept fully informed of the timescales. Ewan and the team were always striving to move the job forward and handled any issues professionally and ensured that the job was done to a high standard. All the tradesmen who worked with Gormac were excellent and made the stress of living on a building site bearable each day. All cost changes were fully discussed with us and agreed before the work commenced.
We are delighted with the extension and would have no hesitation in recommending Gormac."

Installation of vertical steel beams to secure the removal of a load bearing internal wall.

"Ewan and the team were great from start to finish and every tradesman was a pleasure to have in the house. We had a sudden bereavement which disrupted the work and Ewan was very sensitive and accommodating of this which was hugely appreciated.

Had an extension built last year with partial removal of internal walls to open up the back of the house and re-locate kitchen, and landscape back stairs and garden area. It was a small-ish project but it wasn''t straightforward in terms of technical work required to complete.

"An excellent team. Ewan was very hands on and had close control of project. Initially before quoting from plans, he also came out to discuss with us what we were looking to achieve and also look at the work involved in a traditional property with all the issues that that can entail.

He also liased on our behalf with Planning Dpt/Control and structural engineer, when an unforeseen issue arose when a wall was opened up.
Project ran largely to time and Ewan kept regular updates and almost daily feedback on progress.The team all worked well and are close knit and experienced. Ewan also oversaw snagging issues at the end himself

We did a fairly major renovation and were supported throughout from Design, Architect Drawings, CoVid and final completion. We removed a supporting wall, installed support beams and created an open plan ground floor. This required multiple trades.

"Highly skilled tradesman with a real attention to detail and an exemplary customer experience from good and regular communications. Very tidy work and limited, if any, issues as the build progressed. Where issues did arise they were addressed quickly and without debate other than the preferred solution.

I cannot recommend Gormac Construction highly enough given there focus on quality and the final outcome."

Removing back wall of the house and replacing with bifold doors. Knocking through the kitchen/dining room to make an open plan kitchen/lounge/diner. Installing new kitchen and all electrical & plumbing work. Laying new floor throughout.

"Started work on date agreed and worked to complete full project 2 weeks earlier than expected. We're always on time and very friendly and approachable. Would highly recommend."
