"The firm & its director came highly recommended and I have to say lived up to all expectations. It was clearly explained to what would be needed for the electrical work necessary to install our new kitchen. "Gavin Hobbs was recommended to me and I was extremely impressed by his professional manner. He looked at my old floodlight and attempted to repair it but to no avail. "Gavin replaced my outside sensor light. He was very efficient, polite, tidy and cleaned up perfectly on completion of the job. A joy to have around. He kept me informed of his ETA, which was much appreciated. I would not hesitate to recommend him very highly. Job well done!"

Attended to deal with a problem causing the fuse board to continually trip out.

"When I contacted them Mr Hobbs asked me various questions about what had happened immediately prior to the power failure and asked me what I had tried to identify the fault myself. As there was nothing immediately apparent he visited me later on the same morning.

He arrived exactly when he said he would and was very courteous and polite. He quickly identified that the most likely cause was a fault in my electric gates (which was indeed the case). He found the exact cause (water ingress) quickly and rectified it. He then went through all the other control boxes to check that they were watertight - changing some of the wiring and resealing them where necessary.

He worked quickly, thoroughly, and as importantly left no mess! He charged me exactly what we had agreed and I would certainly say that it was a fair and competitive price. He also took all necessary Covid precautions. Highly recommended."

I had a new kitchen fitted by Hobbs Property Services which included the installation of new LVF and new plug and USB sockets. The kitchen is so stunning and fitted so well it looks seamless from where it starts to where if finishes. I’m so happy with everything that Gavin and Mason did. They worked carefully and safely and also to the government safety regarding COVID guidelines.

"The work done by Hobbs Property Services was very satisfactory. I am so pleased at how the plugs (and the kitchen, flooring) look and the pictures speak for themselves on how clean, safe and sleek they look.

Complete refurbishment of two Almshouse properties. These are old listed properties and required a high degree of skill and flexibility. Specifications needed to be modified as the work progressed and additional structural conditions were revealed.

"I am the Chairman of the Newbury Almshouse Trust. We have nearly 50 properties many of them old listed buildings. Before we move new residents into our properties we decide if they require renovation to bring them up to the best practical specification. During 2020 Hobbs Property Services carried out renovations on two of our properties. One was is a very poor structural condition. Hobbs Property Services provide a most professional quotation and offered some innovative solutions to specific issues. I was aware that the extent of the work required would most likely change during the projects. What impressed me most was the excellent communications and the most detailed project management control.
When ever a new issue arouse I was given a detailed explanation and possible solutions. There were monthly progress reports that identified the percentage work completed and any agreed extensions. I have never come across such a professional approach from a relatively small contractor"
