Full house rewire including fuse box, new circuit to add a shower, new spur for a gas boiler and meter to be connected.

"Very reliable service from providing a EICR through to completion of full rewire. We left the house in order to facilitate quick and easy carrying out of all the work without hindrances and to have the job completed in only three days. On return, full explanations and demonstrations of all circuits and switches was given. Perfect. In addition, in spite of such a messy job process, the house was left as they found it and given a vacuum clean up. I am absolutely delighted with the result and impressed with the high quality of service and reliability of Dumfries Electrical Services. Thanks, Colin and colleague!"

General electrical inspection on moving to a new home, repairing and installing light fittings throughout the house and recently responding swiftly to an emergency situation with my bathroom light.

"From first employing Dumfries Electrical Services in 2020, I have received prompt and reliable service, especially recently with an emergency situation I had late in the evening. Colin was there the very next day at 9am to carry out the work needed. They provide a friendly and personal service as well as being swift and efficient in everything they do. Full electrical check on a property we had bought. Fault finding and description of refurbishment works required. Full face fitting replacement. 1st fix works to the kitchen and bathroom. Power, sockets and lights to the outside garage.

"Huge thank you to Colin and Dumfries Electrical. Colin has carried out all the electrical work and safety checks on our new house refurbishment. Kept us up to date and informed at all times of electrical works required and worked these into his schedule.
Worked well with other trades often helping out.
All first and second fix work completed on time as well as new smoke and heat detectors to ensure we are compliant.

Remedial works to bring property up to EICR standard including fault finding, replacing sockets and general wiring problems, installed fire alarm system that complied with Scottish Government requirements and a new Carbon Monoxide monitor . New sockets added too

"Colin arrived on time to undertake a landlord safety check. During the check he identified a problem that he considered dangerous and remedied it immediately during the check. Colin then provided full details of the other work that was needed to bring the property up to standard together with a comprehensive quotation to do the work. He left this with me, and when I called him a couple of days later to discuss it, he took almost an hour to talk through the alternatives with me and explain the pros and cons of each. Colin agreed a date with me for the work to be done and turned up when expected and completed the job within the timeframe he had led me to expect. He left the property clean and tidy.
I then asked Colin to fit a new socket in my home, which he did and again left the area clean and tidy.

"I found them to very professional throughout the process. From the phone call to book the job, I didn’t have long to wait for the appointment, to the certificate on completion I was extremely happy with the job.

They were clear and consider in the booking, a tidy job and the house was left spotless.

"I have instructed works with Dumfries Electrical Services for 4 years now for various private residential let properties. Each time the level of service has been impeccable. They take the time to discuss any issues, remedial works and breaks down the cost prior to proceeding with the works. "Colin came last week and installed new smoke alarms to our house and carried out an EICR in preparation for us putting it on the market.
We were very happy with his work and pricing and will definitely be calling him again in the near future for further projects.
