CDM electrical undertook work an afternoon of 06/11/2024 to supply and install new extraction fan in ensuite shower room. To supply and install new 20W security light to front of the property. To supply and install 20W security light to rear of the property.
 

"Contact with Shris M Gheq from CDM electrical was made through finding his details on the Dundee trusted trader website. I was very impressed that he replied so promptly to my enquiry. He maintained regular contact with me regarding the proposed date for the work to commence and arranged to com within one week from initial contact. Chris came to install a new kitchen oven and hob and replace a bathroom fan.

"Chris was thoroughly professional throughout. The hob didn't quite fit the hole in the kitchen worktop so Chris went above and beyound with his carpentry to enlarge the hole to a suitable size.

He also advised the previous bathroom fan was underpowered for what it need to do. He sourced and installed the new fan as well as sorting out the extractor pipe in the loft."

Chris changed over an existing external light for a camera/light set up.

"I contacted Chris to enquire about getting a price for the job and sent him photos to show what was needed, Chris responded quickly with price and date and time he could carry out the job. "I have previously had electrical work/repairs carried out by Chris.
I would recommend his services to anyone needing the same.
Chris arranged to come and carry out the work the next day ! He provided the materials and has given a warranty.
He did a quick, clean job and presented, as usual, as a very honest, polite and professional electrician

Fitted a new double socket under the sink for two appliances. One was not working.
Fitted my new TV in my bedroom which involved re-directing the aerial and the wiring from one room to the other and fitting a new double socket.
 

"Chris was absolutely super. Nothing was too much trouble. The TV exchange sounds straightforward but it was anything but! He planned it out and came up with options for me to choose. Their went ahead and double checked everything along the way. Made sure my TV was working then tidied up and put everything away for me (the old TV had been fitted inside a wardrobe and the wiring and aerial were fitted in the wardrobe next room!!)

Chris sorted out poor wiring in my kitchen and installed proper switches do I could access and switch off appliances. He came at short notice and sorted out a multitude of problems under a challenging time frame - I was getting a new kitchen appliance delivered and installed that day and work needed done before it arrived.

"Chris was very reassuring that the issues could be sorted and very understanding of time constraints. Definitely made this stressful time less stressful and work is of a very good standard - very experienced and knowledgeable for sure.
I now have a reliable electrician for all my home electrical work and will be having Chris back soon to sort out some issues I’ve been delaying eg new outside lights."

Got sockets added in to fix our tumble dryer and to offer us more sockets above our breakfast bar.

"Chris came round a Monday to give us the quote, he was thorough in looking at the best way and thorough in the explanation of how it would go ahead. He then got back to us very quick to let us know pricing and when he could do it. When coming round to put in the sockets he made sure we were happy with where things would go and talked us through step by step. We had old strip lights removed from our kitchen ceiling and new downlights put in. Also the hall and kitchen lights would go on together so Chris put in a new switch to separate this. We are in a flat so there is no access to the floor or a roof space above.

"We have used CDM Electrical since moving to Dundee 5 years ago. We recently moved to Arbroath and worried we would need to find someone else. However when we contacted CDM he confirmed that he did cover Arbroath so we were delighted. Chris came out and discussed what we wanted done gave us some positive feedback and ideas. He provided a quote a few days later which we agreed and a date was set for the work.
Chris turned up as expected and carried out all the work discussed. He is very professional, tidy and good with communicating. I would never consider using another electrician.
I thoroughly recommend CDM Electrical.

"Chris was fantastic. Made availability when a series of previously unknown but dangerous faults were discovered, worked out the issues, and did an incredibly thorough job to resolve them. Was reassuring throughout that he would be able to resolve the issues with minimal disruption. "I contacted Chris to disconnect old cooker and install a new electric oven -was delighted that he was able to move his diary around and complete the work on the same day to ensure i was not left without a working cooker.
