About Us

Barrie Alderton Estate Agents Ltd is a family run estate agency which was established in 1990. The letting side of the business was opened in 1997.

The company has grown from strength to strength gaining a reputation for honesty and professionalism due to our philosophy of always dealing fairly with both sellers and buyers with most of the business comes by way of recommendations.

The style of the company is always approachable with a friendly yet professional manner where you won't find the hard sell and arrogant manner that so many agents adopt.

We are members of the Brighton and Hove Estate Agents and Auctioneers Association, Licensed members of the National Association, ARLA and the Ombudsman Scheme. We are also members of the Buy with Confidence Scheme and the Tenants Deposit Scheme.
     
 
Reputations are not built overnight

"My experience of selling my property through Barrie Alderton was extremely positive. I mainly dealt direct with Vicky Alderton, who always responded to me enquiries really quickly, and gave meaningful and accurate information. She was extremely supportive and human throughout the process, and not at all like an estate agent robot. I can't recommend Barrie Alderton enough, you will experience a far more human and meaningful process with them, than you would with a national agency. I worried that using a local, family-run firm would mean my property wouldn't get as much reach as other bigger agencies, but I worried in vain; I found my property absolutely everywhere it needed to be, and accepted a strong offer within a week of it being on the market. "I found Barrie Aldertons firm to be very professional and get relaxed in a very stressful transaction. Almost or a daily basis agents up the chain were pressuring me to do the transaction quicker when clearly matters who out of my hands and also threatening me that the deal would fall through.
