About Us
At ourhouse our aim is to provide a first class customer experience as we believe that ultimately it is this that will bring clients back to us, time and time again.

Reputations are not built overnight
In Referenceline's view, this track record is more important than the ratings. Don't be impressed by a few old reviews which may not be representative.
Look for firms with a commitment to asking for feedback - good or bad - from their customers.
We recommend that you look for a track record of ratings and reviews in at least 9 of the last 12 months and that you should not be too concerned about an isolated negative review.
Ask the firm for their side of the story.
Code of Practice
Businesses have a legal responsibility to treat you fairly, but it's often hard to know what questions to ask or what standards to expect.
They are the experts and you should be able to rely on them to help you make decisions.
These questions explain the commitments that this business has made to follow a code of practice and they will help you understand what you have a right to expect.

You can see how many customers have said "Yes" in answer to each question, but please don't expect 100% in every case.
Nobody's perfect and some customers may not be completely sure about the answer.
It's more important that you understand these questions and discuss them with the business so that you both agree what good service means for you.
A responsible business will be happy to explain the details to you and it's always better to clarify these points upfront to avoid misunderstandings later on.

Customer Review
2 bed bungalow, Derby
"Spoke with Our House initially when considering renting. Took longer, due to my delay. Paul more than happy to take up discussions again, and spent time listening to what I wanted, rather than the usual agency hard-sell I did not want. Understood my requirements and made a tailored offer, with fair negotiation. Understood my expectations. Friendly but professional. Have been kept up to date on all aspects, and although I do review all docs sent, I could almost happily file away without doing so, knowing they are accurate. Prompt professional attention at all times. Invoices now online,(as is everything else)timely, and well set out. So far only had one tenant, so only one check in/inventory. Very good service, and if it wasn't I would have cancelled and moved elsewhere."

2 Bed Bungalow, Mickleover, Derby
"Excellent! I have recommended them to others. I was a first time landlord and the help and advise they gave was really useful (and very fair and objective). Opportunity for improvement would be to "manage" smaller general queries regarding the property without myself being involved in every communication from the tenant - I pay for a managed property so expect some items to be managed without my involvement (especially when their requested are unreasonable, etc)."

"I have been using OurHouse Lettings for over 4 years and they have proved to be an excellent company. They have always responded to phone calls and emails promptly and have always sorted out any queries and maintenance issues in a timely manner. They are both friendly and professional. 2 bedroom detached bungalow located in West Hallam, Derbyshire.
"Any repairs were arranged and carried out promptly and property was inspected regularly, as per contract. The changeover from one tenant to the next was handled with minimum loss of rent and since the bungalow is currently being sold, this too has been handled entirely to my complete satisfaction. A big big thankyou for great service. "

Detached bungalow, Littleover, Derby.
"OurHouse provide an excellent local service dealing with every aspect of our property let in an efficient and friendly manner. We moved to them several years ago because another agent, who split the different aspects of the letting procedure between various offices, had made a number of errors. We have been very happy with our decision to use OurHouse."
