Victorian semi- detached house in semi rural area (opposite open farmland but close to tube station & high road).
 

"The service I received from Douglas Allen, Epping was poor from the start (the estate agent couldn’t contact the vendor to arrange viewing as he had an incorrect number and confirmed our viewing via email literally 5 min before it was due to take place) to the finish (we were told we would be receiving a home move box which did not arrive).

We offered the full asking price on 27th February but did not receive a letter confirming acceptance until 13th March and only after several calls & complaints.

The property dimensions were not available us and despite frequent calls about this we were constantly fobbed off with excuses. They eventually were put on the website but we were not told. Awful service the whole way through.

Excellent service from the estate agent we were selling with only served to highlight Douglas Allen poor service further.

5 bed detached house in a village overlooking fields.
 

"Since purchasing the property we have found out that a planning consultation has been ongoing since Feb 2012. One of the options is to build houses etc on the fields that we currently overlook. He interrupted a phone conversation with one of his staff in such an abrupt fashion I thought I had a crossed line.
