"I felt we over paid on the property and was told that their was a second offer been made at the same time on the same house we eventually bought and I was very suspicious of the agent who said this and I felt I was being misled at the time, but did agree to pay £2, 000 more for the house following our last offer. A couple of months after this, the house next to ours was on the market for less money and was a house of similar finish inside but an end terrace and was sold for £5, 000 less. I rang Sherlock as at the time our purchase was with our solicitor, but the manager reassured us that the house next door would sell no less than what we paid for ours and that we paid a fair market price, which wasn't the case. In my opinion we paid £5, 000 more than we should have and were put under pressure to pay £2 000 more to secure the house, which i now regret. So overall we felt we paid more than we should have."
