We are an independent estate agency which was established 2001 and the exclusively appointed Guild Property Professional member for Jesmond. Lower 2 bed flat in Gatehsead.

"I have never used Mansons before as I thought they were a company that dealt mostly in Newcastle and I was looking in Gateshead.

I found the property and arranged a viewing and had a number of concerns which were relayed back to Mansons. I was a little disappointed that viewings were happening when the flat hadn't been yet cleaned or decorated. I expressed my interest with in the property with a list of very fair required changes and was informed a number of these were already in progress.

It was difficult to get answers but this was due to the lack of communication from the landlord. It took a long time to get answers but I know the Mansons team made a lot of effort to help this run smoothly and to eventually secure us the property.

We paid out deposit and admin fees to Mansons bank account and our rent to our landlady and started the tiresome work of getting the property up to scratch so we could move in.

I must say that whilst there might seem to be a number of negatives here the negatives are not down to Mansons handling but the quality of the property. Perhaps a little more time could've been taken to get the property to a decent standard before putting it on the market, before using Mansons I'd heard that the quality of their portfolio was excellent. I understand Mr Manson viewed this property and I'm a little disappointed that it was immediately let out in its condition.

Regardless of the quality of the property I still decided to pursue the rental as I needed to move quickly and a very short distance but it took longer than expected to move in due to work needed.

One thing that does stick with me was that once I had decided I wanted to secure the rental and pay a holding deposit Mansons were keen to find out if the issues I had raised had been sorted so wouldn't accept my deposit. This is the first time I have had an agency want to find out more information from the landlord before taking payment, I was very impressed.

I have had some poor experiences with agencies in the past but this is one of the best, granted, a tricky one but the Mansons team handled it really well despite everyones frustrations.

I would definitely use Mansons again in the future though my next step is to buy. I will most certainly look at Mansons portfolio when I am ready as the team were fantastic, especially Dean, Gavin and Elena."

3-bed rural semi-detached stone built cottage with 3 downstairs receptions, modern kitchen, LPG-central heating, woodburner and very large garden. Surrounded by woodland and in peaceful off-road location in Northumberland on the A69 commute corridor.

"Manson's work in co-operation in Tynedale with Northumbria and Cumbria Estates, based in Hexham. This means that despite Manson's office being in Jesmond, there is always someone more local to the tenant than either the landlord or their agents. Second, we had used another firm for 3 years prior to using Manson's, and the difference in approach is staggering. The previous management (a franchise of a national chain) were not at all professional, did not keep up a regular inspection schedule, did not alert us to problems with the property that could have been avoided, carried out the bare minimum of a final inspection, the upshot was that the previous tenants left us with a rather larger repair bill than was necessary. By contrast, everything that Manson's have done since the property was let by them in August 2013 has been excellent, negotiating fairly between landlord and tenant, ensuring that maintenance, when necessary, has been carried out promptly and sympathetic to our needs and constraints. Every time you go to the office, you are greeted very warmly, the advice given has always been top drawer. Emails are similarly friendly. One of the biggest plusses for us, and again a contrast with our previous experience, is that the staff are very loyal to Nick Manson, many have been there for several years and so when you do need to talk to someone, you don't feel like you have to start from the beginning all over again. We trust them, and we will definitely continue to have them market and manage our property. I would definitely recommend them to others."

"I have never used Mansons estate agents before as I am renting a student property first time.

They gave myself and my flatmate valuable advice and were extremely helpful throughout the process, ensuring that we got the property we wanted.

Also, as we are students and we didn't really know what to expect and we didn't know what we would need to do, the agents were very helpful in explaining EVERYTHING to us in simpler terms.

They also went out of their way to help us fill out council tax exemption forms, and gave us direct information which they did not need to do.

"This is the 2nd time I have used Mansons to find me a property.

On each occasion I have been looking for a 3 bed property with 3 double bedrooms and at least 2 parking spaces. They are one of the few agents that listened to my requirements rather than sending me to a load of unsuitable properties and wasting my time.

They were also one of the few agents that could accommodate the needs of 3 professionals ie They didnt point blank refuse to do viewings after 17.30.

"We're really pleased to have been able to re-let our flat in Heaton, through Mansons.
They advised us on some improvements that were required to the flat before re-letting it as well as local, reliable tradesmen to carry out the work required to a high standard.
All the staff at Mansons are friendly and knowledgeable, we dealt mainly with Gav Younger throughout the process and he was extremely helpful at all times and helped make the process smooth and stress free!
We'd have no hesitation recommending Manson to any Landlords.

"Very professional, helpful and quick to answer questions. Compared to others in the area, Mansons were by a long stretch the most professional.

No, never used them before.

It would have been useful to have a inventory, though this was partly my own fault for not following up on the matter. The agent only facilitated the tenancy rather than managed it, which was the responsibility of the landlords."
