Semi-detached 3-bedroom country cottage, recently totally refurbished, with large garden.

"Town & Country Lettings are that rare thing among estate agents : a thoroughly reliable & 100% professional service. They arrive at meetings on time, reply promptly to emails, give knowledgeable & well-informed advice, and do an excellent job of matching potential tenants to the property, which in my case is relatively unusual, being a long way from the local village & lacking some facilities like mains gas.

I have known Town & Country for a long time & they have consistently found me good tenants. What has impressed me this time (the previous tenant had moved on after more than 5 years) was the way that their service has improved and kept up to date with modern technology while retaining the personal touch. I would recommend them to anyone (tenant or landlord) in our vicinity, & would happily provide a personal reference."

"We have previously bought and sold properties through Town and Country so we felt confident in their ability and professionalism to find us the right tenants.

Overall, we have remained impressed with the service received. We now have a lovely family living in our property who seem happy and settled which is reassuring.

One area in which I would welcome improvement is around the management service that is provided. It would be helpful if as a landlord you had one point of contact in the office that you dealt with in order that you don't need to relay the same request a number of times if something gets passed on a another member of the team.

"You could not have been more helpful, especially in handling the problems with the initial Flamstead property I was intending to rent and subsequently returning the monies I had paid upfront without question. Your priority came across as being to find me a property where we would be happy and that really didn't go unnoticed or unappreciated by us. You then gave me unlimited assistance in finding this property above which we are beyond delighted with, having received the keys today. You have all been professional, approachable, friendly and knowledgeable at all times that I have either called by phone or dropped into the Markyate branch over the last 3 months or so and I shall recommend you highly to others. The three people that I have dealt mostly with (in order of frequency) were Steve, Paul and Simon and they have all been commendable. My experience with you could not have been improved upon, as reflected in my marks above (I am not one who usually even gives a 9 easily ;)) Thank you all again, you really do deserve every continued success as a firm in the future."
