Uplift old path and steps. Instal patio and new path steps with indian standstone. Uplift old turf and replace with new. Weed control and stone chips in border. Relay slabs in back garden. Dig up old driveway and replace with tarmacadam.

Landscape garden, lay new pathway, two new doorsteps, new mono block driveway, various garden works.

"High quality work carried out to landscape a garden area, relay a pathway, install 2 new doorsteps and to widen and mono block driveway.

All work was carried out to an extremely high standard, efficiently and with a friendly, helpful attitude. The team were great and worked well together.

I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending them for any similar type of work.

We needed changes to an existing (17 year old) mono block driveway. This involved extending one side to a boundary fence/hedge covering an existing border area and removing and changing the line of the blocks on the other side to allow a larger area for a grass lawn. Also requested was the extension of the mono block to the front door replacing several 60cm x 90cm concrete slabs and levelling a couple of areas of monoblock that had sunk.

"Martin was quick to provide a quote after we had been let down by another contractor. He also provided a likely date for the work.
In the event he was able to start earlier and the work was done to a high standard over three days. Martins attention to detail included the building of a small wall beside the access to the front door, matching an existing wall on the other side. After working hours the drive was left clear for our two cars.

After completion there was a minor issue with some of the edging concrete which wasn't thick enough to hold a curved monoblock edge. Martin and team fixed this at the earliest opportunity and it is now as required.

We're very pleased with the quality of work and the extra space we have for both vehicles and grass at the front of the house. Martin and his team were professional and hard working to get the job done to our satisfaction and with as little disturbance as possible."

Formation of off-street parking space. Job involved removing a wall, lowering the height of the ground, creating a parking space with permeable block, lowering the kerb and re-tarmacking the pavement.

Not only was the job completed with the utmost efficiency, but Martin is a absolutely level-headed, straightforward gentleman to do business with. To replace a long (30 metres), old tarmac driveway which had been allowed to deteriorate into extremely poor condition by the previous owner of the property. The tarmac, which had at some point been patched, was disintegrating almost everywhere, was completely worn away in a number of places exposing bare concrete and there were a couple of deep potholes. The old driveway was to be dug out, a new base laid and compacted and a good depth of tar laid on top with white chips in it for decorative effect.

"I'm happy to say it was a very good experience in every aspect. Martin McPhee, the owner of Drivemaster, kept in regular touch with me from start to finish and was extremely helpful at all times, explaining all aspects of the work and answering all my questions.

An unforeseen change of circumstances meant I was away from home throughout the time the work was carried out and I was delighted on my return to find a beautiful new driveway with the site left immaculately clean and tidy. My next door neighbour tells me that the team of men worked extremely hard throughout the entire time they were there and that there was no disruption or inconvenience at all to neighbouring houses or to those on the other side of the street, which was great.

I am really delighted with the work that was carried out,and my whole experience with Drivemaster and the excellent service provided by Martin McPhee. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone wanting to replace their existing driveway."

As I was away while the work was done I do not know the names of vthe men who carried out the work, but as they did such a super job I phoned Martin directly to say how delighted I was and I also arranged for an additional sum to be paid on top of the bill in order for him to buy the men a well earned pint for their excellent work.

Dug up 2 borders which contained various shrubs, large conifers & grass at side of current drive. Dug up the tarmac drive Laid a cobble drive with border & rebuilt pillars at end of drive

"Absolutely delighted with our new drive. It looks amazing! We paid extra for the cobbles but it was worth it. Martin & his team worked so hard from start to finish. They arrived at 8 every day & got to work immediately. They hardly stopped during the day. Once the tarmac drive & borders were dug up the drive was almost double it’s original size, Martin & his team spent a few days preparing it before they started laying the cobbles. He said it would take 7 days in total & it did.
They were all very friendly & left no mess. I would definitely recommend them & would use them again."
