"Rain stopped play... During lock down I managed the build our retirement home... I have worked in the construction industry from many years but taking on managing the entire build, with loads of labouring thrown in was no mean feat.. anyways with the house completed I looked at the surrounding garden, and I use the term 'garden' loosely, because it was just a mountain of solid clay and weeds. My initial thought was if I can build a house I can sort this mess but luckily my wife persuaded me otherwise.. thank god.. Reading their reviews I called this company and the following day Andrew turned up, showed me some photos of work they had completed, and confirmed that the clay sub-base in our area was such a nightmare that many 'gardening' firm refuse to work it. Subsequently I have learned from neighbors that to be true. Anyway we agreed on a price and Andrew said that as the work needed doing before the heavens opened he would have plant and top soil on site the following Monday. Unfortunately the heavens did open before he was able to start the work, and continued for the best part of 5 months. The land became absolutely sodden and clay work and boy what an amazing job they have done.. using an excavator with the 'toothed' bucket they broke up the clay to a level of 9tns, rotated the ground, firstly with a smaller tracker then hand rotator it before finally lifted the stones and clay clumps with another piece of kit and raking it level. The quality of turf they have laid is first-rate and in only 7 days is being to take..I am absolutely delighted with the quality of their collective workmanship and would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for a first class garden service.
