Door sidelight replacement

"Matt replaced a door sidelight today (which had been broken by a stone from the lawnmower). He also took the trouble to adjust the front door (which I had not mentioned to him) as he thought it had dropped a little. A very swift and efficient job and competitively priced. The work was completed before the time scale quoted (five days instead of the expected two weeks).

Matt had previously replaced all the windows in the house, some years ago, so we already knew his workmanship.

I would have no hesitation in recommending him."

Replacement of all windows, doors, installation of two sets of bi-fold doors, soffits, guttering and fascia.

"Since moving in three years ago we’ve been doing our house up, both inside and out. Over that time we’ve replaced all our windows, doors, guttering, soffits and fascia over various (money dependent) stages of work. Matt has been our ‘go to’ man for all of that work.

I can’t stress this enough. He is brilliant. The quality of his work is fabulous, his attention to detail and passion for getting things absolutely spot on is a joy. He cares. And, to top it off he’s a lovely bloke who we’re going to really miss not having around.

If we need anything else done in the future (and we’ve already got sights on our garage) we’ll be calling Matt straight away."

Replacement of two wooden doors to workshop and pedestrian entrance to garage with uPVC doors

"When Matt came to quote I was impressed by his professional but friendly approach. He asked lots of questions about what exactly was required and made useful suggestions about what would provide the best solution and took his time over the whole process.

His quotation, which arrived promptly, proved to be the cheaper of two and I felt confident that gr8 glass would do a good job. Once I'd accepted the quote he gave us a clear indication of the lead time and subsequently called to confirm the installation date that was within that time.

On installation day, he arrived bang on time, confirmed our requirements again and then set about the installation. Matt was very thorough with everything he did with great attention to detail. When he left, there was no trace that he'd been apart from the new doors, everything being left very clean and tidy and old doors/frames removed from site.

Overall, delighted with the result and would happily recommend Matt and gr8glass."

Fitting new wooden framed double glazed window units - some non opening and others opening, plus window ledges.

"We have been using Gr8 Glass for the last 4 years to gradually replace all of our old windows. The service is always polite, cheerful and clear. Quotes are given, checked and rechecked. Matt takes a very personal role in the work and is very tidy, efficient and clear in all he does. The service is brilliant as it means someone can have windows replaced or fitted at their own financial pace. We could not have had all of our windows done at the same time and with Gr8 glass we have been able to budget and achieve replacing all the windows over a period of time.

Definitely one of the most tidy and neat companies I have ever dealt with - everything is cleaned up and put away and the site left as they find it. I would thoroughly recommend them and will definitely book again for the final two windows and would call Matt for any future work needed."

Two leaking roof sections of a conservatory. These were a combination of normal double glazed panels and opening ventilation panels. Work was to take out all existing panels of the two affected roof sections and replace with two single double glazed panels to match the rest of the roof. This on a large conservatory of 4m x 6m with a pitched roof.

"We called in Gr8Glass to solve our leaking conservatory roof, no mean feet as the design had roof panels that were about 3m long and therefore not light weight. The company arrived on time and quickly set to removing the old panels and that meant removing the existing roof beam covers, no mean feat. Nevertheless all was removed and the first of two new panels were in place in no time. Due to access issues the second panel was manoeuvred internally up through the roof opening and then put in place, tricky but carefully and effectively done.
Gr8Glass were courteous and professional throughout I would recommend them."
