The design, supply, installation and commissioning of an LG air source heat pump with associated tank, vessels plumbing and electrical services. The work was done in association with the financial grant under the government ''Boiler replacement scheme''.

"The work was done in association with the financial grant under the government 'Boiler replacement scheme'. The design and specification of the heat-pump installation was important in choosing this company to carry out this contract. I was influenced by their membership of the 'Heat-Geek' organisation and specifically wanted a well-designed but simple and efficient system.

A Heat-Geek designed tank was specified and supplied to a size to fit the narrow available space yet providing sufficient 200 Lt capacity and a giant 6 square metres of heat transfer area.

The choice of an LG heat pump was also an important consideration. This modern design, modulating speed machine (heat-pump, fan and circulating pump) has a 7 year warranty (when fitted by a registered LG installer). It also has the added built-in advantage of being able to operate as an air conditioner mode during the summer. All the calculations carried out indicate that this will be a most efficient and reliable system for a very competitive price.

The complete plumbing installation was very well carried out with no visible piping apart from in the tank room. The whole system requires only the single circulating pump (part of the heat-pump) and a single 3 way diverter valve to run the DHW, CH radiators and the downstairs underfloor heating.

The electrical installation was also to a very high standard being quick, neat and almost invisible.

The communication with this company was very good. All the time a feeling of competent good management giving an assurance that is needed for such a major installation.

Both the in-house plumber and electrical teams went above and beyond my expectations.

"We cannot recommend MJS enough.

They were very helpful from the beginning of the project (installation of solar panels and batteries), and readily provided their expert advice and experience to help us clarify exactly what we needed to achieve our aims.

The whole physical process, from erecting the scaffolding, fixing the solar panels and installing the electrical components went seamlessly. All the various members of the team were exceptional, friendly, very hard-working and willing to go well beyond the specific scope of their individual tasks if necessary. All the work was of a very high standard, and they left the site clean and tidy. They were brilliant.

The solar panel system has been working perfectly since it was installed and MJS has been outstanding in helping us get the best out of its capabilities. They have assisted us get the paperwork in order, so that we can transfer our energy account to a far more suitable provider (Octopus Energy).

To recap, MJS were superb, and we would recommend them to anyone looking to ‘go greener’ with a sun-stainable energy solution.

Installation of Air Source Heat Pump and new Hot Water Cylinder on ground floor, together with buffer cylinder and expansion vessel. Upgrade of radiators. Removal of old hot water cylinder from second floor bathroom and of water storage tanks from loft space.

"I found MJS Energy Ltd refreshingly easy to work with. During the planning stage they readily
answered all my questions and were responsive to my proposals to increase the diameters of the
pipes to the new radiators in the living room and the two bedrooms and to reuse the radiators
that were to be replaced. They made additional survey visits to appraise and solve potential
difficulties such as those arising from the reconfiguration of the hot water system.

The installation itself went smoothly and was completed within the predicted timeframe. The
plumbers were faced with a challenging task of fitting the 600 dia hot water cylinder in a narrow
toilet, along with the buffer cylinder and expansion vessel, but managed this very well. The
complex associated pipework is neat and unobtrusive. They succeeded in orientating and
positioning the hot water cylinder so as to leave adequate space for a new, standard size wash
hand basin, which replaced the former mini basin.

Claremont Hill consists of a 200 year old Grade 2 listed terraced house with a single storey,
flat-roofed rear extension added in the 1970s. The ASHP is sited outside the toilet at the end of
the rear extension, so a new electric cable to power the heat pump had to be run through the
older building and along the length of the extension. The electrician has to be complimented for
searching out a viable route for this cable, which did not impact on the fabric of the building.
The plumbers and the electrician were friendly at all times and took care to minimise the
disruption they caused.

I would be happy to recommend MJS Energy Ltd to other people.

Warranty Repairs to an LG heat pump. Warranty repairs to associated systems.

"MJS came in and worked their way through numerous problems caused by a previous contractor.
They kept at it , replacing various controllers, probes etc at the behest of the system supplier.

MJS were not reimbursed by the supplier for many of the warranty repairs they carried out but they still did them anyway.
They could have walked away and left me trying to deal with the supplier but they didn’t, they fought my corner and saw it through to the end, eventually managing to get me a brand new heat pump.

Their commitment and professionalism was outstanding."

"From start to finish, we are extremely happy with the work carried out.
We were happy with the price and the information we were given about having solar panels with battery.
They were a very friendly bunch and did everything they said they would, including replacing broken tiles on the roof.
The electricians were very tidy and cleaned up after themselves at every point. They were extremely informative as to what they were doing at any given point. There work is so neat and labelled clearly.

To finalise installation and to commission the equipment on site, then to provide phone support while learning how is works. After installation dealing with grants and applications.

"Having bought Heliotherm ASHP equipment, for our self-build home (New build installation) from a different company, who let us down really badly, we were absolutely blessed to find the team at MJS Energy, who were helpful from the outset. We had completed the plumbing and electrical work on site for our new build, but were in need of commissioning and set up for the ASHP. I was due to have surgery for cancer, so we were up against a tight schedule to try to get a house (or part of) that was habitable. MJS came on site in Somerset and got stuck in finalising the installation and commissioning the Equipment, and were were up and running in time for my operation and recuperation. On top of that they also sorted out the paperwork for the grants we were eligible for, maximising the contribution were could get and making sure that everything ran smoothly. "MJS Energy have been very helpful from start to finish. All workers were tidy and courteous .
Having what has been considered a non standard house for heat pumps . Georgian ,solid stone construction I was somewhat nervous . MJS provided me with very detailed data re all the heatloss calculations so I could have confidence in the sizing of the HeatPumps.
Only four rads have been upgraded and so far the heating performance has been on target.
Despite not ideal weather the installation from my side went very smoothly. Importantly every one turned up when they were scheduled and MJS communicated very well through out.
We had an issue with the balancing of the two heatpumps on commissioning but quickly MJS arranged for the HeatPump Manufacture to review the installation and issue was resolved with one visit."

"We had solar panels and battery storage installed by MJS energy. The service was excellent from advice on the best system for us before going ahead, through installation and then a thorough explanation of how it all worked afterwards.
The actual installation of the panels and batteries was done while we were away but neighbours told us how impressed they were with the speed and efficiency with which the team worked. The work involved digging up part of the drive to lay cabling to the house and this was achieved with with minimal disruption. Thank you for a job well done solar MJS team!"

Advice on and installation of central heating in my home, using air source heat pump.

"The 8 MJS people I met were unfailingly professional, helpful, and clear in their explanations despite my foggy brain - a massive improvement on other organisations/firms I have been in contact with over air source heat pump central heating over the last 4 years. With MJS the whole thing was surveyed, agreed and professionally installed within weeks. My house is warm!

My comment on disruption is not quite 100% only because when you are having central heating installed, floorboards have to be lifted, so there is of course disruption - but only as I had expected and agreed beforehand. The heating engineers and electricians cleaned up at the end of each day with floors relaid safely every evening so I didn't have to sleep elsewhere. It was good to see the 2 apprentices being encouraged to work to such tidy standards too. And yes, I have had similar pipework installations done before; MJS were considerably more careful of my property, faster and more considerate."

Installation of Air Source Heat Pump and Hot Water System

"I first approached MJS Energy whilst researching Ground and Air Source Heat Pumps. I also spoke to 4 or 5 other suppliers.
A site visit was arranged and all the options were discussed and I received a quote for 5 different systems from MJS. It was agreed that the Stiebel Eltron 8.5kW Air Source Heat Pump and Hot Water System was best suited to the conversion of a barn that was being well insulated and would have underfloor heating downstairs and radiators upstairs.
Throughout the project Andrew has fielded all my questions and Henry coordinated with the builders to ensure timely installation. Some days the engineers arrived at 8am, and some days, they worked until 10pm. Their work and the site was always neat and tidy. We were surprised how compact the system was on completion.
Now its time to move in, enjoy the warmth and learn how to operate it all!"

Supply and installation of a heat pump. Also, an underfloor heating system connected to the heat pump . Connecting various plumbing points for the kitchen , utility and 3 bathrooms. Connecting and supplying a gas supply line for the stove. Supply and installation of a Domestic water cylinder and peripherals.

"We were completely satisfied with the quality of components supplied as well as the skilful completion of the tasks needed. Very good workmanship. Communication was a bit tardy in the beginning of the project but this improved significantly when Craig and Aaron took charge of it. I would recommend MJS for this type of work. An area for some improvement would be the communication but once this was highlighted it was taken care of."

MJS Energy removed our gas boiler and installed an air source heat pump, new radiators and new hot water tank.
