Old kitchen and existing tiles removed. New ceiling put in and widespread repairs done to all walls. Plasterboard and plastering done with initial coat of white paint prior to new kitchen being fitted.

"We were delighted with Calum’s quality of work. Everything was carried out with full communication and to a very high standard. Calum has a high work ethic and it clearly matters to him that he delivers a quality standard of work. He also ensures everything is left tidy at the end of the day. His plastering skill is top quality. He does sometimes like to begin work at 7am should the need arise!
We would highly recommend Loch Ryan Decorating and look forward to having Calum back for finishing off decorating once the new kitchen is fitted."

Calum was asked to paint a newly built kitchen/dining room with the kitchen furniture already fitted as well as all the fixtures and fittings.

"Calum was very helpful with helping us choose the right sort of paint to get the quality and finish we wanted, especially on fresh plaster. He was very flexible with how the area was going to be painted so that we could still get access to the kitchen during the day and over night, all the coverings he used were tidied away so no issues with trying to get access to anything in the kitchen. I had stained the woodwork and all of this was really well covered along with the floor and work tops. He was extremely careful to ensure that no drips or splashes could get onto any surface it was not supposed to be on.
The job was done to a very high standard and in very good time. Calum was very friendly, courteous and friendly. He arrived when he said he would and finished quicker than he first estimated.
We would have no hesitation in using his services again and now that I know he also plasters will be seeking his services to plaster over and decorate the aertex ceilings we have.

As part of a new kitchen installation, a new suspended ceiling was constructed. Ceiling was realigned , as original was not level. Old wall plaster was stripped back in places.Wall and ceiling plastered. Surrounds to window and doors squared off. Advice provided on paint type and colour selection. Walls, ceiling, pantry and skirting painted. Pantry and serving hatch doors stained.

"Before commencing, Calum gave good advice on suitable paint type and colour selection, based on his experience and he organised sample colour pots. A flexible work schedule was agreed to work in with four other tradesmen. Calum was a very punctual and conscientious worker with a very pleasant personality.
He found a perfect match of colour for one part of the wall to blend in with the colour of kitchen units selected.
After the other tradesmen had completed their tasks, Calum returned to rectify any marks they had created on the paintwork during construction.

The finish on the plastering was very smooth and indeed it was commented on by other tradesmen.

The paint finish was excellent and we are planning to employ Calum for future exterior rendering and internal plastering and painting.

We would most definitely recommend Calum to others."

"Calum was professional, easy to get on with, from start to finish, providing exceptional service, hard working, very clean and tidy, no mess whatsoever. His standards are second to none, he is so precise in all he does. We simply cannot recommend him high enough and have already put him in touch with friends who need a decorator.
Calum was extremely helpful at the start when recommending colours, styles etc, and the finished result is perfect.
We would be more than happy to personally recommend Calum to anyone, we would never use anyone else.

To pressure wash the rear of the house, clear the gutters of debris and repaint the cleaned area. He also cleaned out some of the gutters, which had been blocked with debris (without being asked to do so!)

"Calum provided a very good service, from the initial quotation, the completion of the job itself and invoicing process. Very professional manner but also very personable and friendly. Very thorough in his work - both in terms of pressure washing and the painting itself, as can be seen from the before and after photos. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for someone to do an external decorating job to a very high standard."

"All work carried out to extremely high standard. Came when promised but always advised regarding ability to work if weather was bad. All work area kept clear and tidy. Polite and friendly. Stripping, rendering and painting of main bedroom including repair of a previously badly sealed fireplace.

"Callum has decorated a couple of rooms for us now, the latest was our main bedroom. Took care of a badly sealed off fireplace, rendered the wall, plus made good and painted the rest of the room - not a small task in such an old house. The finished job was superb, we are delighted - it has transformed the room. Callum arrived sharp each morning, worked solidly all day with no hassle, no mess and nothing was a hassle for him.
