Thank you for leaving us feedback. I can confirm our prices have stayed the same since your last service in 2016 and you paid the same price this year as you had last year.

The charge includes the cost of an air source heat pump service, which is £90 + VAT and the charge for us to attend a customer at your location, which is a charge of £40 + VAT. Therefore giving a total price of £130 +VAT.

The work included in an air source heat pump service is:

Check operation of heat pump and heating system.
Check and log alarm code errors from controller.
Check and record service logs and machine parameters.
Heating system filter, remove and clean.
Cold main filter, remove gauze and clean.
Check Domestic Hot water expansion vessel. Adjust if needed.
Check heating expansion vessel pressure. Adjust if needed.

The service is required to maintain manufacturer warranty conditions and this work needs to be carried out by a qualified engineer trained by the manufacturer. R A Brown engineers have completed this, which involves 3 days on a residential training course.

On a system that is well designed, installed correctly and well maintained then all of these operations can be carried out fairly quickly, it is only when problems arise that more time will be needed. We can assure you that your system has had the full manufacturers service completed to maintain its warranty conditions.
