The move went very smoothly, the 3 guys were excellent and covered all carpets to protect them. They took my wardrobe apart too and rebuilt it later (better than it had originally been!).

"From quote to moving in was excellent. Had no damaged items, everything went into boxes and hanging rails (clothes). The van was stacked well and was full to the brim. The move into the new property was equally as smooth and the team put everything in the right rooms as stickered. We had been impressed by the quotation process which was done by Jayne on a tablet and worked out the correct size of van required. We also chose them because they were based close by and so mileage rates would be lower."

Move with heavy old bulky wardrobe to dismantle and put up

"Absolutely faultless experience from start to finish.
I was moving on my son with my son and the two guys arrived early helped me finish a few bits cracked on and were friendly chatty and nothing was too much for them- took great care with all items and made the move feel more relaxed as it went along.

Jayne was very helpful throughout. I was in 2 minds about submitting this, but if I don''t, you won''t know.

"The first removal was of all my gardening goods and everything in my garage.
The 2 younger guys, Ethan and ? were very helpful, but I found one guy (in his ealry 50s, with lots of tattoos and a bald head) a bit 'gung ho'. On arriving at the garage of the new property, he carried one of my plastic drawer units down the lorry ramp instead of using the sack barrow. Some bits fell apart as he was carrying it, and got broken. He didn't apologise or try to help me, just left me to try and sort it.

On the second day of moving, although I had clearly labelled every box saying where it was to go, the same guy kept saying "Oh well, you'll sort it at your leisure, won't you" and just seemed to put them anywhere. I have several health issues including Fibromyalgia, arthritis and back issues and found it really hard to move some of the heavy boxes on my own.

I also saw the same guy just chucking bags containing bedding, pillows etc into my spare bedroom. But he couldn't have known if I had fragile items packed inside the bedding, could he. Plus, I'm not sure anyone should be 'chucking' anything. He also swore. A lot. But he moaned about Ethan doing so, whereas I never heard Ethan swear once. In fact I find Ethan very helpful.

On the second day of moving there were just 2 guys (not Ethan). I found the younger guy to be much more careful and considerate and he asked me questions rather than assume anything. I'm sorry, I can't remember his name - was it Melvin or something similar?

Lastly, one of the drawers in my chest of drawers was stuck after the move. A friend had a look at it, and found it had not been put back correctly on the runners. Thankfully he managed to sort it for me.

Oh and lastly I hear a loud crash come from the van, and asked what it was. I was told it was my laundry basket full of clothes hangers. What I wasn't told was that the basket had got broken in the fall. In fact I found the handle lying on the grass, later.

I don't like complaining, but my complaint is really only about one person. I have no idea of his name, but I'm sure you will know which crew did my move and will know who I mean by the description of him.

This was a move due to divorce so the home needed to be split and moved to separate new addresses. Removals were so sensitive and kind to the emotional challenges as well as the logistically ones. Never mind the patience required when in a multiple chain. No items damaged and everything moved perfectly. Highly professional service. All the office staff were also so helpful in the run up to the move and after.

"Fantastic experience so much kindness, patience and sensitivity for a challenging move. From the office staff to the movers we were so well looked after not just our possessions but us as a family. It was a complicated move to different addresses and all handled so professionally. Nothing was too much trouble for the team and everything arrived safely and in the correct place. Kings Road We were relocating from Stamford to Kent so it was a long distance move. The 3 man team took 1 day to pack and load a Luton van with garage/ garden stuff and packed most of the house contents. A classic motorcycle was carefully crated inside.On day 2 they finished packing the house and loaded onto the pantechnicon and headed down south. They only had time to unload the Luton van, which was perfect as everything else was to go inside the house. The team stayed locally and completed the move in by midday on day 3.

"The 3 man team were amazing.. punctual, polite, efficient, great sense of humour and nothing was too much trouble! They worked incredibly hard from the start of day 1 until they finished, and if items were not put in the right place, they were more than happy to move them again. Altogether a really good experience,and they handled all our possessions with care and respect, paying particular attention to 3 items that were precious and dealt with straight away on day1."

"Cliffes offered us a competitive quotation and, having used them in a previous move, I decided to appoint them.
On the move day the team were super efficient, and took away any stress that I might otherwise have had to endure.
They were professional, friendly and super efficient packing up the contents of our home, including a piano, and, when we arrived at our new address, they were joined by another team who enabled the unloading to be carried out in good time and with due care and attention.
I really appreciated how straightforward and stress free they made the whole move experience.

These guys should wear capes!! Super efficient and handled items with care, we were all loaded by 11am. Unpacking was equally as slick with the only delay being my sofa meeting a doorway! Experience shines through as the boss could tell the arms come off just by the make of the sofa and it was in

"Did the usual 3 quotes that you’re supposed to do, 1 never called back, one wanted a team of vans to start the night before so my stuff sat in a yard overnight and Jayne is the only one that turned up in person, did the survey and talked me through it. We were moving from the Historic part of Lincoln which brought it own difficulties not being able to get the removal vehicles in the drive all moving items had to be carried much further to the removal van.

"The Guys took in all there stride and never moaned just got on with the Job. Taking non essential items a couple of days before the main move really took the stress out of the moving day. The unloading was much easier and having all the beds put back together and all items placed in the correct room was a bonus.

Having used Cliffe's two years ago when we moved we had no hesitation in using them again. Very friendly and approachable made us feel at ease though the whole process. The removal men never seem to tire and even with a late finish due to house we were moving to not being empty on arrival.
Nice to deal with a family firm and being able to speak to the owner made a big difference to us.
Great service and would recommend.

A move from Lincolnshire to Yorkshire 5 bed house to 5 bed house

"Our move involved a 100 mile move from a 5 bed one storey house to a 5 bedroom 2 storey house.
We were quoted for a 4 day move. 2 days full packing service followed by overnight stay by removers to then unload As only 2 packers arrived my husband and I helped dismantle beds and most garage items were moved by ourselves. The company decided an overnight stay wasn’t required and delivery took place on the third day. Due to limited space we didn’t request them to assemble beds. We had to suggest they put down carpet protectors as they were bringing mud in and many of the boxes had been mislabelled so therefore ended up in the wrong parts of the house. The staff were all very polite and good humoured but I feel they were understaffed throughout
Having used Cliffes 12 years ago I feel that their standards are not as high as they were then. Too much packing material is used and unpacking items was quite difficult"

Thank you for your feedback - the move was undertaken in the correct fashion - packing, loading, delivery and time for our vehicles to travel back - the staff have all been trained to use the correct level of packaging to prevent breakages and as we have not received any complaints, clearly the goods all arrived intact.

Our standards still remain high and we are disappointed that you have not taken the time to contact us - but would rather give a poor review!

"I requested Removals and Storage , there was no stress as the Company is so professional and efficient, plus helpful and reassuring, all queries and requests are handled quickly and a date made to suit . Customer service via telephone or Email is always responsive on the same day with mostly instant replies of reassurance or suggestions, to aid you prior to the move .The price is very reasonable and availability of team staff on the day were excellent,
totally proficient, took great pride in their work and your belongings were treated with great care as though it were the ‘Crown Jewels’, everything handled in an elegant exceptional manner. They also take great pride and care in assisting with packing and on loading the vehicle, which is a feat in itself , so tidy and safe . The staff are polite, considerate , respectful to you and your belongings, plus extremely diligent in care around the home.

From start to finish Cliffe’s were professional in every way.

"Special thanks go to the employees who carried out the packing on day one and removals the following day. Well worth the extra paid. They took time and effort to put everything where we wanted them even moving things around to fit.
Boxes collected a few day later of which I have been told all proceeds go to the Air Ambulance.
Hoping not to have to move again but if we do will not hesitate to call on their services again.

"They know the industry inside and out. Gave me guidance and courage when I needed it! They do their utmost to accommodate your move if needed ie solicitors or estate agents change dates.

The guys on my move were absolutely lovely, kind, respectful and very fast at what they do. No negatives at all for this company 110% would recommend them.

"Jayne/Cliffe's quoted us back in the summer for then a August/September move. As the months went on and the chain went soar we eventually had a date in December which Jayne could not accommodate. The date then changed again and we rang Jayne to see if there was a slim chance of that date which fortunately there was. We decided on the packing service and glad we did, the team arrived the day before moving day and packed nearly everything. They dismantled the large sleigh bed and loaded one of the vans. Removal day arrived and so did the team right on schedule. The loading went well and without a problem. At the other end it was a different story the crew had to wait from about 13.30 until 15.45 before we completed. due to the time and darkness another crew was dispatched to help and I think they all finished about 18.30. From the quote to delivery the whole experience was 1st class/5 star call it what you like. THANKYOU"

4 bed vicarage with restricted access to a similar property 40ish miles away.

"Staff we excellent and all went smoothly. Very satisfied.

Only one complaint.
Booking was made in 2024 with a move date of 3 January.
I was told that, due to Christmas close down, I would receive a call before Christmas with a final confirmation. I did not receive that call, despite leaving two phone messages asking for confirmation.
That said, the staff arrived on site at the time and date originally agreed.
