"As per usual the service from Good Move Great Horkesley was excellent throughout.
Items were collected and packed for storage with care and attention, and likewise when removing from storage at new home after a few months.
Communication with the office team was pleasant and straightforward whenever needed.

From a 3 bed house to first floor flat.

"I have moved with good move 4 times now. The first 3 occasions were amazing. The staff helpful and polite, going above and beyond to deliver quality service. What happens this time…..
After turning up 21/2 hours late they were constantly rush rush and complaining constantly. They ignored our instructions and moved items we told them not to.
Once at the off load address they were just dead set to finish and go home. Dumped boxes and furniture where ever they wanted, complained constantly about the access to the property and I ended up removing the front door and hand rails to make their life easier, 3 seater left in the garden as it did not fit up the stairwell the other stuff they said wouldn’t fit I dismantled and sorted myself. I have a washing machine with dents all over it plus other bits……when we struggled to get chairs up the stairwell I suggested taking off the hand rail, the reply was “just rip the fucking thing off” great suggestion as I will be liable for damages with the landlord. Honestly bring back Jamie and nick and the other team that moved me 3 times, could not fault them and they were a credit to you…. What has happened ?
We are moved now so it’s past now, but going forward sorry but I won’t be back if I move again."

Moving very elderly parents (86/87) from house to a bungalow. Restricted access due to double yellow lines needing rear access via a tight lane.

"My wife and I recently moved our aged parents into a bungalow. I can say after many moves myself that from the moment the team , lead by Gary, turned up to the final sign off this was the best moving experience we have ever had. Gary, Seb, Ed and Ashton were polite and good humoured. My father is 87 and suffers mental and physical challenges, they worked a plan allowing him to be able to relax as the move progressed around him. I would have no hesitation recommending Gary and his team to anyone looking for a professional, respectful team. Thank you all for making my parents move as stress free as it was"

Relocate from Colchester to Rutland. Part packing service 4 bedrooms to 4 bedroom property. Packing boxes provided.

"We moved from Colchester, Essex to Wymondham, Leicestershire which is a 2 and half hours journey. We moved from a modern 4 bedroom house in village location to an older smaller 4 bedroom cottage in a village. Access was not so easy for unpacking and locating furniture .
We packed up everything we could ourselves and Goodmove provided the selection of boxes( delivered 2 weeks before)
The removal team were friendly and courteous and worked very hard. 4 guys packed up for us but only 2 guys unpacked.
We had no breakages"

This was a domestic move between two area''s of Essex. Nothing really of note that made it unusual. However, due to being let down by another removal company, GoodMove stepped into the breach with very little notice, for which they need to be applauded. Thanks a lot, guys.

"We found the GoodMove experience a really good and positive. From the start, dealing with Megan and George, to the actual move, interacting with the guys tasked with moving us, we found them all to be friendly, professional and willing to go above and beyond the 'call od duty'.

A long distance move made less stressful through the reliability, hard work, care and speed shown by Good Move packing, loading and travelling to our new home.

"We have now used Good Move four times and they are our provider of choice. They always show a very high level of professionalism and care in their dealings and when moving us.
The assessment and quotation process was quick and competitive. We had an uncertain completion date but Good Move were very accommodating and let us hold dates. Very helpful when we had a long distance moved planned.
On the day the team turned up promptly and packed and loaded us every efficiently over a day and part of the following morning. We then travelled to our new location and they got us settled in our new home that evening. They made the whole process relatively easy and stress free.

The move was from a first floor flat with limited access, then a collection from a house and a final drop 180 miles away to a flat with limited access.

"What wonderful service! My move consisted of a pick ip from 2 properties and a drop at one 180 miles away. The team arrived and instantly put me at ease as I knew it was going to be tight getting larger pieces out of one property. They came up with the solution of putting everything out of the windows! I’m not sure what the neighbours thought, but once they started they didn’t stop. I missed them at the next collection address as they were so quick and only made it to the drop just as they were finishing and they were all still smiling.
Great service from all including boxes and paper.

Downsize from roomy bungalow to small house.

"Initial quote visit went well, written quote received & was verbally accepted. Removal date was decided & solicitors achieved it but very last minute! We took a leap of faith, booked & paid for removal on the agreed date, luckily we were able to exchange & complete simultaneously.
We would have appreciated more detailed labelling of box contents, still haven't found items we need,3 days later.
We would also have liked to be told when the lorries were at the new address, we had lunch while chargeable waiting period had been started unbeknown to us! We had been told we would complete at 2pm & driver was advised but still arrived really early. We're glad we paid for 2hr wait protection!!
All communication was instigated by us(except posting quote) so very one sided."

My move date kept changing because of issues with chain above so had to keep changing the provisional booking with the company before finally being able to secure a definite date.

"Excellent service from the start to completion I was constantly having to change the provisional booking and staff were always accommodating. All staff are courteous and polite team arrived exactly at the time given to me there was a problem with an antique wardrobe which the removal guys took great care and time to make sure they carefully took it apart as agreed previously.
I would definitely recommend this company and certainly use again without hesitation

Great , friendly and professional service from the Good Move guys. They were incredibly helpful particularly when we had a delay getting the keys. They worked so hard in the heat to get the items unloaded. No damage to note. Very happy with the service and would highly recommend Good Move

"I had a very positive experience with Good Move removals from my initial enquiry to the move itself. They were professional and accommodating, given I had to change my move date a couple of times. It was not a problem and they were very reassuring.
I had a consultation by one of the team who came out to my house to give me all the relevant information for the move. All emails and invoices were dealt with promptly and efficiently.
On the day, the 2 drivers arrived on time and introduced themselves, very polite and friendly and they proceeded to carefully pack their lorry with my belongings and drove the 4 hours to Nottinghamshire from Colchester. I met them at the other end where we had a bit of a wait for the keys, then all the items were again, ‘carefully’ unloaded and taken to the appropriate areas of the house.
All in all, a very “Good Move”.😊. Highly recommend this firm."
