It was a simple move really no pianos or anything like that just normal house items. We used the packing service and storage facilities.

"Fantastic service from the start to finish would highly recommend Alness removals to anyone.
We opted for the packing service which was money well spent. Took the stress out of packing and everything was packed well by Rod and Damien. We used there storage facilities as well which everything was stored safely and secure. At every stage of the move great care was taken with our items."

Move was only in the same town so they used a smaller van and did two runs.

"Initially difficult to contact anyone, boss on holiday, receptionist part time, nobody returned phone messages. But we persisted and we got there. They arrived on time, took great care of everything, very polite operatives. Asked questions on where we wanted things and placed most furniture as they found it. They said they placed all cables in a box we provided but we lost three TV cables. Nothing damaged at all. Overall absolutely delighted with the service and no hesitation in recommending them"

The house move was from Ross-Shire to Argyll. Vehicle access, loading/unloading was challenging for both properties, and the drive between the two properties involved required precise planning due to the type of roads involved for the journey.

"I was very satisfied with Alness Removals and Storage and would highly recommend this service provider for future customers. I have moved several times during my life and this is the first time that my belongings have arrived in tact and without any damage. The two man team worked very hard and were both attentive to detail. I was kept informed throughout, both during the loading and unloading process."

I have used Alness Removals and storage on several occasions and have had my belongings in storage with them, for four and a half years. When planning this current move, I didn''t consider anyone else. I am abroad and I wanted to used a tried and tested company as I would not be present on the move day.

"I had organised almost everything, but had forgotten to disconnect the washing-machine. My neighbour oversaw the moving process and was very happy with the service, and confirmed the washing-machine had been disconnected and removed without drama.
My furniture is now in storage and I am confident that I will find it in good condition when I return.

The removal day was easy to organise; the move was completed as planned with no problems; I was billed after the move; I paid and received a receipt. A straightforward, good service."

Excellent service in removal from one house, split part to storage and part to rental whilst look for new home. Then almost seven months later consolidated into new home from storage and rental in one day.

"Ace service from an excellent team. Throughout from first contact through quotes to first stage then final all happened smoothly and Rod and team members (Iain and other colleague whom cant remember name of) were a credit to the profession.

It was especially evident when moving that are obviously well experienced and with minimal communication knew exactly what to do.

Rod was able to put at ease throughout what can be a stressful time and nothing was too much. Value for money was always up front and when made a suggestion would consider and suggest options - sometimes cheaper.

Used storage and again quality in ability to pack showed and on discharge was no damage or issues seen and no breakages. Have moved at least 10 time snow and this was equally top rate and quality so fully recommend to others.

Finally impressed that Alness do not only do local services but can arrange national moves so wherever people are or goint to or from is worth asking the question."

Move contents of house shed and garage from existing 3 bedroom house to new 3 bedroom bungalow.

"We are a returning customer having previously used their services over the last 25 years. The move was dealt with seamlessly and very efficiently by the team. There were issues before the moving day when our original sale fell through 2 days prior to completion and the whole process had to start again but we were only charged the deposit for cancelling at such short notice.
When re booking the actual move day we were only able to give less than 2 weeks notice but again this was accommodated.

2 separate households moving into 1 large, 3 floored property. Some very heavy items - piano, solid oak large sideboard and exercise bike.

"Rod and his team made our moving experience easy and pain free. We got helpful tips on packing and were able to purchase a good supply of boxes, tape and paper for breakables. They came to assess our requirements and size of van needed very promptly.
All pricing and details were explained clearly.
They were very flexible regarding dates and timing to suit us.

On the removal days they phoned to say when they were arriving and were on time.

The team were very careful and obviously properly trained in moving and handling.

I moved from the northern highlands of Scotland from a large rambling house along a narrow single track road onto a long gravel track. The hallways and doorways were in some case narrow and stairways steep, providing some challenges which the removal men were very experienced and coped with professionally. They also advised me of what was needed in pruning overhead branches and other usefull advice at the initail visit. The removers prepacked some of the valuables before the move, took a day to move all the furniture onto the van, stored it over-night and travelled down to the borders and unloaded the following day. They were very flexible in arranging various moving, packing and storing options and kept in touch throughout the whole process.

"After putting the house on the market I got a very quick offer which I accepted, and then found myself in the postion of needing to find a house quickly. I knew from friends that Alness Removers had a good reputation, and that they were local. I had got two other quotations but when Rodney visited I felt comfortable with him, there was no pressure tactics and he was local. During the process of finding a new home the legal process was delayed and was very stressful, and it seemed that I might find myself in the position of having to move out and not being certain I would get the keys for the new house in time - very stressful. Rodney was very helpful in suggesting various options, such as temporary storage if needed. Some of the deicate items were prepacked by Damian and Kevin, and the removals were handled without any damage or loss. They were all very friendly and worked well as a team. I have no complaints at all and felt that they also had a competitative price."

Easy move, made so much easier by having Alness Removals to pack as well a moving us. My husband has lots of books, etc, so we preferred them to pack for us. No breakages and Alness Removals placed all our items in the specific rooms and even made up our beds for us.

"We had Alness Removals to pack up everything for us. We were delighted with their work and the removal men were polite, courteous and made our move absolutely stress free. Brilliant Company and the owner Rod, was very helpful, courteous and reliable and so were his removal men. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alness Removals to family and friends.
