Here at Metro Removals, we are a family-run business offering a range of expert removals services and storage solutions throughout Kettering, Market Harborough and Thrapston.

Downsizing is fraught with challenges, from sizes of furniture to amounts of belongings, no matter how well prepared anyone thinks they are! I’m so grateful to Metro for handling it all brilliantly.

"Down sizing is neither physically or emotionally easy, especially when doing it alone, but all the Metro staff I dealt with helped me through every stage, from box sizes/probable quantities needed, to levelling up my fridge freezer for me in new home! The expertly packed vans and subsequent unloading was carried out by three wonderful men whose jovial manner, professional work ethic and customer focus was a huge comfort to me at a very difficult time. They worked so hard (especially getting huge mattress up narrow stairs!) but never lost their sense of humour. Their respect and attention to detail throughout the whole process was faultless . Would definitely recommend."

Moved from London to Kettering. Arrived on time but unable to park immediately outside but this did not deter them & both were very personable. In Kettering again brilliant service & were joined by other team members to unload.

We had the full package that Metro Offer. Three of their guys packed most of our belongings the day before the move and left us some over night stuff. Two of the guys packed the remainder the next morning and we were good to go well before the 1 o''clock deadline. We got the keys shortly after 1 but unfortunately the people moving out of our new house were not ready to vacate until 2.45!

"Our Metro men remained calm and called on help, so that we had six of them moving our belongings into our new home. We were in by 5 o'clock. Brilliant.

We found all of the people we talked to and met to be friendly, courteous and willing to help in any way possible. We could not have asked for a better service. Thank you Metro."

We ordered the full wrap and pack service, which was carried out including the final move over a three day period.

"Metro Removals were able to move us given a very short notice period while we were waiting for a completion date.
On the final day, all went according to plan, until we were held up for several hours waiting for conveyancers to clear monies. Thank goodness we ordered the waiting time waiver.
All Metro Removals personnel we met were very polite, professional and hard working. A very long final day for all.

I arranged Mero to move my 83 yr old mother from her 3-floor North London house to her new home in Broughton, Northamptonshire which included storage of all her contents for 4-weeks before the move-in was possible.

"Metro came down to London over 2-days to pack everything for her and the move-in was complicated by the long narrow driveway into the property which required the majority of all contents to be walked-in from the truck to the house.

We had to move out and put our possessions into storage very quickly - under a week. Lee came to see us the same day I called and had a quote to me next morning. It was surprisingly low.

"They arrived when they said they would and cleared everything away very efficiently.

We also gave short notice for retrieving our possessions and again they were extremely helpful. They arrived this morning and sorted everything out as quickly as possible. They even offered to help us with a wardrobe problem that had nothing to do with them.

I can't think of anything negative to say at all. They were superb from start to finish, and brilliantly priced to boot.

Highly recommended.

Polite, organised, helpful, efficient, on time, all-round great service."

"The service we received throughout the planning of the move and the actual move day was fantastic.

Metro moved a team of 90 people and had lots a people asking for different things and varying requirements through the day. Each member of their team were friendly and helpful no matter who they were dealing with.

Move from a large house to a smaller bungalow. Some very heavy items of furniture, and a couple that needed dismantling.

"Overall, a really good service. All staff were polite and helpful. Everything happened to the agreed timetable and the men took pride in their work and worked together well.

The move took place over three days. Pack Monday, deliver Wednesday. One lesson we learned was that we should probably have marked items we wanted to hold onto until the Wednesday more clearly.

No breakages, no damaged items.

"Great team arrived on time and packed all delicate items, such as grand mother clock, with extra padding. They always asked if unsure whether to take an item.

"We asked 3 companies to quote for our house move and chose Metro, not just because they had the ‘keenest’ price, but also because of their positive reviews and the professional way our survey was conducted by Lee Paris. The team on day one comprised Steve ( team leader), Dean, Alex, Pez, and Liam, Jacob joined on day two (as Dean was elsewhere). Their care and attention to detail, coupled with their phenomenal work rate, made the job go so smoothly. Day two saw them finish the last vehicle ( already having filled the main, very large one and a smaller one on day one) by just past 10.00 am. At our new house they were so quick to unload all three vehicles and double checking where we wanted everything, yet ultra careful not to damage our new home, that again we were just totally impressed. Thank you very much guys! A job well done! Such a cheerful, polite and positive team! 5*+ service. If we ever move again we will use Metro."

The move was pretty straight forward with some larger items having to be taken through the Living Room Window (I had removed the glass prior to the arrival of the Moving Team.) The two man Team, were both professional and courteous and nothing was too much trouble. What also made it easier was that the same Team had previously also moved the occupiers out of the bungalow that we were moving to so they knew the layout etc: The whole moving experience went extremely smoothly due to the efforts of the Team.

"The Removal Team were spot on time on their arrival and we managed to secure a parking spot next to the house in what is a very busy road (there is a school opposite but helped as they are on holiday)
The Team were methodical in their approach to the move and organised the items within the van perfectly, covering and protecting as they progressed.

They arrived at 8.30am and were complete on the first phase by 11.00am

The second phase (moving in) was simplified by the fact that the same Team had recently moved the occupiers out of the home that we were moving to; they therefore knew the layout."

Metro moved the contents of our four bedroom house from Northamptonshire to Norfolk and provided a full packing service.

"This is the second time that we have used them. Both times this was paid for by the Church of England as I am a priest. They take the lowest of three quotations.
