The pick up was in the Alps, Switzerland during the winter, conditions were Ice and snow. No problem for Steve and Lee who handled everything without any issues. We then used the Luker storage facilities in Oxford. Then final delivery to our UK address.

"I was provided with the contact details for Luker Bros from somebody who lived locally in the Swiss Alps. I contacted Bob Cherry who provided everything I asked for regarding the planning, administration, quotation, customs process and execution of the trip. Bob replied to every query promptly and guided me through every aspect of the move process.

Steve and Lee turned up on time despite bad conditions, they packed and moved everything to the van with no fuss, no breakages or damage. They piad respect and attention to both our goods and our property. They were polite, friendly, understanding and professional.

The storage was straitforward and we were allowed to mark items for immediate pick up on our arrival back in the UK. Bob Cherry and his team were ready and waiting at the depot and loaded our goods into the car.

After about a year's storage we arrange for the goods to be delivered to our UK property. Once again Steve Lee and Tommy handled the move. This helped as the same team who dismantled everything were there to put it together again, very efficient and once again profssional.

There were no breakages whatsoever and everything packed was delivered and installed perfectly."

The move was due to relocating from Switzerland to the UK and involved the complete removal of all items in a 3 bedroomed house including the garage which contained a very heavy workbench!

"We received excellent service from Luker Bros right from the initial contact with them. Bob Cherry explained the procedures carefully and in detail and coordinated the removal from start to finish. He also did a very thorough video tour of the house and furnishings and was able to judge accurately what was involved in the move. We were particularly impressed by the fact that all packing materials and boxes were provided for us 3 weeks before the actual move date and all was carefully explained by Steve & Tommy.
The removal van arrived exactly on time and we were given up to date information on where it was on its journey to us and the precise arrival time. The removal took two days of packing and all was done to a very high standard of care and efficiency....... and off they went with a houseful of all our possessions! All the customs paperwork was dealt with by Luker Bros and all went smoothly.
Five days later (which included a weekend), the removal van arrived at our new house, once again exactly on time and the unpacking went equally smoothly and carefully as the packing.
Steve & Tommy were extremely helpful in placing all the items in the correct rooms.
A superb and carefree transition from Switzerland to the UK.
An extremely efficient and organised team which we would highly recommend."

We needed to move all the furniture from my mother’s house which we sold to two different destinations a long way apart and also take the remainder to self storage.

"Luker Bros are conveniently situated in Oxford. We had sold my Mother’s house and needed to move large items of furniture and white goods to my brother’s house in Buckinghamshire, other items of furniture to Devon and the remainder to go into self-storage in Oxford.
I took pictures of the house and all the items divided into their respective destinations. I was given a quote and removal dates which were very suitable. I was in constant contact with Lukers who were very amenable to last minute changes.
On the moving days the team arrived promptly and worked very professionally and efficiently taking good care of all the valuable items. They were extremely polite and helpful. Experts at their jobs. The delivery and unloading were undertaken in the same calm and careful manner.
The whole process was honestly very good. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone."

Delivery UK to Switzerland of furniture items.

"This is not the first time we have used Luker Brothers and on each occasion they have been easy to deal with (thanks Ian) and service all round was excellent. Proof of export paperwork was also sent over promptly. We were always kept up-to-date regarding the scheduled arrival date and time.

All goods arrived in perfect condition and the delivery gentlemen were very pleasant, arriving within 2 minutes of their eta.

We will certainly be using Luker Brothers again. Wholeheartedly recommend them."

We moved from a 4 bed house in Switzerland to the UK. We had our things kept in store for 3 weeks before delivery. We did our own packing.

"The whole experience was smooth and stress-free from the initial inquiry to the final delivery. After the initial inquiry I did the video call with Bob, showing him round the house and talking through what we were taking and what we were leaving. A quote was provided detailing all the insurance options and claim details, and there were clear instructions about the customs requirements. We had emails leading up to the pick-up making sure we were all on the same page. The boxes and packing materials were delivered in good time and clearly explained which boxes were suitable for which items. On pick-up day we had a message with the ETA and the team were punctual. They were very professional and handled our things carefully. They were a great team.
On delivery our load came on two consecutive days and again the team were fantastic - they knew/remembered which pieces came from which rooms, they were punctual and they adapted when things didn’t fit into the places we had thought they would. All our items were delivered without damage.
Overall, they were a great team."

My wife inherited the contents of her cousin''s flat in Montreux. The WhatsApp group for Britons in Montreux recommended Luker Brothers. There were only 3 items of furniture, the rest was made up of glass, porcelain, cutlery, textiles.

"The quotation came in very promptly, all the customs arrangememts were handled for us and we felt supported the whole way. The removers arrived prompty and swiftly packed fragile china. glass and pictures very carefully. Delivery o London was also as quick as we needed. Luker Brothers employ very nice and expert staff.

The British Association of Removers' insurance form is not written in the clearest of English - this is no responsibility of Luker Brothers."

Move from Switzerland to Somerset UK with storage inbetween

"Totally stress free move due to Luker Bros efficiency and communication. Nothing was too much trouble for them, Bob always answered queries quickly and was extremely knowledgeable with import duties etc. now having moved into our new Somerset home after 18 months of storage, the move in was their usual calmness and efficiency. They know what they are doing and are brilliant at it. All the goods including a large amount of antiques and paintings were stored correctly and in the same condition as when they left Switzerland. Upsizing from a 3 bed semi to a 4 bed detached just round the corner.

"Luker Bros made our move so much easier, from initial contact to the day of the move they were quick to respond, friendly, helpful and professional.
They started bright and early the day before the move and packed up 75% of our possessions. They swept through each room methodically, leaving it clear. Everything was handled, wrapped and packed carefully and respectfully.
The morning of the move felt calm, with lighthearted chatter making it as stress free as these things can be!
When we got to our new house, the previous owners hadn’t finished moving all their stuff out but the guys worked around them, reassuring us and turned what could have been a very stressful situation into a calm, smooth operation.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Matt and the team, they are 100% worth every penny."

My move was bringing a part load of furniture and household items, some antique, from the UK to Switzerland.

"I had a very positive experience dealing with Luker Bros. I had used them some years ago to bring furniture to Switzerland but not recently. They responded quickly to our request for a quote and then provided one based on photos of the items. The items were being stored in a relation‘s garage and Luker Bros handled the collection arrangements directly. As a part load, our items had to be part of a full load but there was only a week or so between collection by Luker Bros and delivery to Switzerland. Swiss customs was handled very efficiently and on the day of delivery we were kept well informed as to when the delivery would arrive, so we didn‘t need to wait in all day. On cost, we had a quote for the move from a major UK delivery firm and Luker Bros were much much more reasonable."
