Moved locally (within 5 miles) in rural West Berkshire.

"Wilkins were great. Challenging in advance of getting quotes and trying to move during lockdown, but they took the time to do an in person visit, versus doing it via zoom.

Given that we were moving from a house with limited access we were reassured by the site visit as well as the attention to detail in advance of the move, the care and attention packing and unpacking during the move.

Move was fully executed in 3 days from start to finish and the boxes picked up a couple of weeks later, everything left where we wanted it and with a great and polite team across the whole 3 days.

The crews arrived two working days before the move to start packing the lorries. They were very prompt and worked virtually the whole day. On the actual day the morning was spent travelling to Devon and they went straight from a long drive to unloading the lorries. That night they slept in the lorry and finished unloading the next day. It wasn’t just the house - there were a lot of boxes, furniture and other items to be moved into various outbuildings as well.

"Excellent value for the amount of work involved. It took four working days to move us to our new home in Devon and we were extremely impressed by the stamina, strength and ingenuity of the crew. Throughout they remained cheerful, kind, courteous and very co-operative which was a blessing at such a stressful time for us. Even the narrow cottage stairs didn’t faze them. We would highly recommend Wilkins to anyone looking to move. We were impressed by the whole service from quotes to advice on packing to the actual move. Thank you Wilkins."

Wilkins ensured that our move was as stress free as possible. The most challenging aspect was the removal and installation of a large and heavy wine storage unit which was done efficiently and with determination!

"Wilkins was wonderful! Everyone involved was efficient, proficient and professional. Communication was excellent- all enquires were responded to in a swift manner and everyone was unfailing helpful. We had a last minute hitch which meant that we couldn’t take all our shed and garden furniture and ‘stuff’ to the new home and Wilkins agreed to take one load to another storage place without issue or complaint. I cannot praise them enough and would recommend them to anyone."

Moving us from Burghfield Common to Tatworth near Chard

"The two removal men were first class. They arrived early the day before the move to load 90% of our possessions. They then arrived even earlier on move day to finish off the loading. We then drove to pick up the keys and when we arrived at our new property the removal van was already here. We had big issues with the state of the house but the guys were very professional and unloaded the lorry very efficiently. Very pleased with the service provided and nothing was too much trouble for them"

Temporary move to a smaller house to enable building works to commence, so picking bits and bobs from the house...and taking some back in from the van.

"I have used Wilkins for over 30 years. Its great when the team leader arrives and can remember moving you 25 years ago, whilst one of the others was in the team that moved you in 5 years ago.
Absolutely nothing was too much trouble, and the guys worked hard and cheerfully all day, even when discovering that we were moving to a 3 storey house with a narrow staircase.
I would not even contemplate using anyone else, and as always , you get what you pay for; professional, cheerful, courteous and patient."

We were downsizing to a smaller house,

"Hopefully our final move, therefore a lot of stress and the movers are always so calm and considerate (we have used them previously).

They were very efficient, took initiatives, helped the hysterical client (me!) worked quickly and well and then took some of the items on to our daughter at two different addresses and were remarkably quick and managed difficult items like the big fridge etc.

We moved to a house accessed by an archway which meant a smaller van and yet everything was perfectly accomplished with no fuss at all. Garden pots etc. were delivered last and, again, all with ease. We are very grateful and highly recommend Wilkins."

The re-location was a domestic re-location from South Oxfordshire to North Yorkshire spanning 3 days.

"Wilkins Removals of Henley-on-Thames were excellent.

An initial visit to our home to assess the volume of belongings was carried out quickly followed up by a detailed quotation.

Wilkins were able to accommodate our preferred moving date, and subsequently provided good quality packing boxes, including temporary wardrobes, in order to give us plenty of time to prepare our own (limited) packing. We chose the option for Wilkins to carry out packing of all breakables and I would always recommend this for insurance reasons. The guys arrived promptly on the agreed date, all our belongings were respected, very well protected, and carefully loaded.

Everything was re-located without problem. The guys were extremely careful, polite, and made the experience as pleasant as possible. They helped us to settle in to our new home by re-erecting furniture and positioning it to our requirements. Nothing seemed too much trouble.

We would not hesitate to use Wilkins again and would strongly recommend them for their professional attitude and excellent customer service. We could not find any suggestions for improvement."

Wilkins moved me into a really awkward (but lovely!) house - a townhouse with five floors and a very narrow, awkward staircase. And it wasn''t just the house that was difficult; parking''s an absolute nightmare, especially if you have a pantechnicon.

"Wilkins did an absolutely brilliant job: incredibly good-natured, incredibly professional, and totally expert. They managed to get furniture into rooms I never, ever thought it would fit into.

The admin support was excellent, too - Andrea went to real trouble to sort out the parking issue ahead of the move.

I know they aren't the cheapest, but the fact is, if we'd gone with the cheapest we'd now have a massive bill for new furniture! This is the second time I've used them, and I'd use them again in a heartbeat"

"A day’s help with packing breakable items eased matters.
The men worked hard, speedily and efficiently.
We gradually unpacked over the following week or so, then phoned and the empty boxes and packing was collected.
