Moving small items from Spain

Removal from Northumberland to Dordogne of all furniture, contents of extensive garage, workshop, garden equipment and personal belongings. Appleyards took care of all the paperwork apart from completing the inventory list. The survey mentions packing but we packed ourselves.

Move from a large 4 bedroom detached house to three individual addresses including the need for temporary storage for 2 addresses.

Britannia Lanes of Devon referred me to Britannia Appleyards of South Yorkshire. The service and quote I requested from Appleyards was to collect a small consignment in storage in western France to my home in Yorkshire. David informed me precisely of the necessary paperwork to prepare as I was importing inherited furniture and personal goods. Once the file was complete, David gave me a date for collection then later an ETA for delivery to my address. Everything went extremely smoothly; the crew of two were friendly, professional and made themselves available while on the road in France providing information. The same crew delivery the consignment. Again, all went perfectly well. Thank you to the team.

The move was clear, nice and smooth. The guys were punctual, friendly and efficient.

We moved from Nottinghamshire to Norfolk in February 2025. We moved some 20 years ago to France and back and Appleyards did this removal also.

Office move.

Having inherited the 250+ year old family grandfather clock, I was obviously concerned regarding its packaging and its transportation. I didn’t need to worry as it was dismantled, wrapped and treated with the utmost care. Even the weights were marked to ensure it was set up correctly. The guys must have been to grandfather packing school!

House to house

As this was a move in early December Dave explained it would be a two day move because of daylight hours. He reassured me my belongings would be in the lorry overnight in the secure depot. He explained everything to me and was very thorough and professional.

Last minute notification on Thursday from our chain to move on the following Monday, within two hours Britania Appleyards were at our house packing.

I had a great experience with Appleyard and Sons. It was the best decision I made to contract the company to do my moving. The process was easy, I had the time to complete the paperwork, I did not feel pressured to contract the service after my first contact and visit. The staff is lovely and helpful. They treat my things with respect, added covers onto the mattresses, staff were polite and helpful. It was stress free. I am very happy the service I received. PS, everything arrived in perfect condition.

Moving furniture from second home in France back to UK

Moving a 4 bedroom home to a 5 bedroom home in a rural area. The buyers solicitor was a nightmare and the completion date was missed 3 times. Britannia could not have been more accommodating. Andy in particular was a superstar. It was nice to have someone we had already connected with complete the removal. The majority of our home was taken and put into storage with the rest being collected 2 months later when we eventually completed.
