Moving from a mid terrace Victorian house to a bungalow

"The three team men did the removal in two and a half hours which was amazing, they were a fantastic team with their professional manners and so helpful.

Moving in day was the same they made a difficult stressful day appear to be easy. Nothing was too much trouble for them with placement of our furniture and boxes to the appropriate rooms. Very efficient caring service. Would highly recommend Todd’s

Their banter was most welcome and made the whole process of moving less stressful."

We needed to put our most treasured possessions into storage, initially moving more than 60 boxes and trunks into storage before eventually having them delivered to our new address at the other end of the country.

"From initial enquiry to the eventual delivery of our belongings, everybody we dealt with at Todds provided exemplary service. A visit and quotation were arranged very quickly, and the boxes collected on the specified date efficiently, carefully and with astonishing speed. We then had the comfort of knowing that they were being stored securely and for as long as we would need, which removed a great deal of stress. When we were finally ready for them to be brought up to our new address, the same high standards were met. Simon, who handled the delivery locally, deserves a special mention. He called in advance to arrange timings, and then to let us know he was on his way. He took such care bringing them in to our property and it was clear that his primary concern was that the delivery should be as smooth as possible for us - thank you! We couldn't recommend Todd's highly enough."

The removal company arrived the first day packed all our belongings and loaded some onto the lorry. The second day they finished loading the house contents whilst loading a second lorry with the contents of the garage and garden this kept the dirty outside goods separate from the house contents

"The gentleman who came to give us a quote was very professional friendly and knowledgeable.
We received the quote and were happy with it and waited for our contracts to be signed
Once we had a date for moving I contacted Todds, arranged a date and time, everything went as planned
The guys who moved us were very efficient and we had a very good experience when we got to our new property nothing was too much trouble for them

Peter Gilbert arrived to do the quote and advised on certain aspects, Jo in their office handled all follow up querries from our side.Todd''s moved us over two days, day one they loaded up and left meeting us at our new location over 2.5 hours away early the next morning. They kept to both timeframes and did not disappoint.

"We chose Todds because they were Suffolk based - this was important to us. Todds advertised in the local Flyer confident that they would do the job properly knowing full well adverse publicity in this medium would not be good. Todd's Crew helped us move over a two day period. From the moment they arrived to load up until they met us the next day to offload they were excellent. Each of the crew were professional and efficient - these guys knew what they were doing and did it with a smile. My wife and I were impressed. Well Done!!"

Moved from a 3 bed to a 4 bed house. Had someone come over to help us pack 2 days before and then on the day had a team of 3 do the removals for us. Very efficient and professional. Disassembled the bed and reassembled it for us. Then went to my grandparents to pick up a sofa we were taking from them!

I moved from co2 to co3 after a long awaited 8 months and giving Todd’s numerous dates before we could actually follow through once exchanged.

"Could not fault Todd’s!
Excellent service, the guys were happy, chatty but absolute grafters! They didn’t stop!
Communication from the office was excellent and quick responses despite me changing dates numerous times!

Move from 3 bed semi house

"The guys who came the day before were amazing and just gotnon with the packing. They were amazingly efficient and polite. They following day they were on time and finished packing the remaining items without delay.They were also incredibly patient whilst we waited for the keys to be released (early afternoon) and then unloaded the van with such care. The beds and wardrobes were rebuilt without me even realising they had emergency done. I cannot recommend this company enough. We were stressed about moving but Todd's made the whole process so much easier,it was the one thing we didn't end up worrying about."

We moved from Essex to Scotland and the house in Scotland is down an unmade road so it was a little challenging as we had also accumulated quite a bit of stuff (doesn''t everyone?!)

"I found all aspects of the move to be as hassle free as packing and moving can be. The office staff were very supportive and Adam and Barry, our removal men were super helpful and accommodating, especially manoeuvring the lorry into place in Scotland. Having had a quote from a more country-wide firm (who were double the cost!) I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Todd's. Family firms win every time for their personal touch and friendliness."

We were moving from our house of 42 years in Suffolk to downsize in West Sussex.

"Todd's advised, as did all other quotes it would be load one day and unload the following day avoiding a Friday as day 1 and incur additional cost. The 'salesman' advised how to pack our numerous paintings and arranged the number of boxes. He had estimated exactly the right number.

The only 'mistake' Todds made was not to inform us when the packing boxes were to be delivered. Unfortunately they delivered on a Friday and we were away until Sunday by which time it was heavy rain

Fortunately, they had wrapped everything in a plastic mattress cover so there was little damage but there wasn't much bubble wrap??

There was no issue collecting more from Todd's (several times).
On the day of the move 5 men loaded everything within the allotted timescale including numerous plants. The following unloading day in Sussex Todd's only had 3 men. I would suggest 5 were needed, albeit by 1pm everything was unloaded.

The service they provided was first class. The men were efficient, but equally careful and I would recommend their company for removals.

From Town House to detached house in same village

"The whole move was very smooth, quick and easy from booking it in to the actual move.
Packaging was delivered promptly and we had plenty left over.
The removers were on time and very respectful.
The beds were dismantled and then made up in the new house, same with the sofas.
They had cleared the house within a couple of hours and we were in our new home by early afternoon.
I would 100% recommend.

Move from a 4 bed house to a 2 bed bungalow so radical downsizing and a complicated removal with some things staying at the old address and much of the furniture going into the garage at the new house, the rest going into the new house.

"Miraculously, everything ended up in the right place! Prompt and fair estimate. Generous supply of tape, wrap and boxes. Punctual arrival of obliging crew. Removals achieved efficiently despite having to remove doors due to size of furniture, Great service from the office."

We moved from a three storey house in Felixstowe to a new larger two storey house in Long Melford

"On the first day three men arrived with a large removal van. They said they would pack for about two hours then load as much as they could into the van.This would then be taken to the depot and left overnight. On the second day three men arrived with a different van and loaded the remainder of our belongings in a very short space of time allowing us plenty of time to clean and hand the keys in.They left to help a team on another move and said they would await our call when we had the keys to our new property. We telephoned once we had the keys and both vans arrived with six men and our belongings were placed in our house extremely quickly.
Through out the move the men were smart,efficient, professional and friendly. We could not have had a better house move experience for which we are extremely grateful."

Big job unpacking 7 containers from a storage unit, having to wait two hours to be able to get in and taking huge care of my stuff on delivery. Long walk to the outbuildings and a pretty hideous job but they did it with enormous good grace.

"Very nice to return to Todds after some years and at a very reasonable price. It was a ghastly, long and arduous job for the three chaps but they remained cheerful and uncomplaining throughout and we had some good laughs. I am so grateful to them for their efforts and would not hesitate to use you again. Warmest thanks must also be stated to Sharon, Jo, Steph and Adam on the admin side who copes with the constantly moving goalposts regarding dates and rallied at the eleventh hour with less than 24 hours' notice. They were calmer than I was! Huge thanks and much gratitude to you all - it has been a pleasure."

My removal was from a 3 bedrooms, 2 reception rooms, 1 dining room and 1 kitchen and laundry room, 1 bathroom and 1 shower room. The removal included large plant pots from the garden. On day one the packers came to pack and wrap ''fragile'' objects and paintings. On day two the truck was loaded On day three the removal team travelled to the new property and unloaded.

"The teams were without question professional, polite, trustworthy and did the work with humour and respect. I could not fault them in any way.

Move from 3 bed detached in Colchester to a larger house in Somerset

"Overall I was pleased with the move despite having minor damage to plates, plastic storage boxes and garden ornaments.

After the lorry left, I realised that my aluminium house ladders were not in the rear enclosed garden and must have been left on the lorry. I sent a text 1st thing in the morning to the lorry,for them to return with the ladders but they did not reply and I assumed they were probably half way back to Essex and therefore would not turn around. Once I finally got the internet connected, I emailed to ask if the ladders could be dropped off at a future date. I was shocked to hear they said they had offloaded them but they had not been placed in my rear garden along with all of the other items from my previous garage and garden but they had been left outside the house in the neighbours carpark. These ladders were actually the only items they did not offload from the lorry into my house or rear garden and it simply did not make any logical or practical sense to not deliver them into the garden but to actually walk passed my rear garden entrance, to place my ladders in my neighbours carpark and then to not mention to me where they had been left. Also it is surprising that I never noticed these large and obvious ladders on the floor as I walked in and out all evening. My belief is that they were left on the lorry but even if I am wrong, it was still quite negligent to leave them outside my house in a carpark and not deliver them into the garden with everything else. Todds Removals have not offered any compensation for this loss/error and I am very disappointed and shocked with this and for that reason I cannot and will not recommend them to anyone else."
