The move went very well and took less time than anticipated. The 3 removals guys from Bootham Removals worked hard and were extremely careful with all of our items they were moving. Very professional service.

"Matthew attended our property we were moving from and took notes of all items to be removed and paid particular attention to fragile/hard to move items.
He then explained all of the parts covered in the Code of Practice.
We then recieved the quotation next morning and immediately contacted Bootham Removals to book our move with them.
The day of moving arrived and the 3 Bootham Removals guys turned up 5 minutes early and got to work straight away.
We left the house earlier than anticipated and travelled to our new address.
Again the guys worked hard and moved all of our removals items into the correct rooms for us.
We were delighted with the complete package from Bootham Removals and would be more than happy to recommend them for removals."

"Moving home is stressful! In our case the process had been long, with many hiccups along the way. I was dreading moving day. In the event our removal team were charming, funny and relaxed. House contents were moved into store for a period of 6 weeks and then moved into our new purchase property from store. The second stage was characterised by uncertainty as to completion date so was a difficult period both for us and for the removal company.

"Matthew the company director visited us to provide a costing and was prompt in all subsequent communication. He was very clear about managing uncertain timescales and we felt very supported through the difficult six week period between the sale of our property and the completion on the purchase of our new property. The staff who carried out the move were cheerful helpful and highly competent. In spite of a season of extreme business for the company our needs were met with a general approach of helpfulness.
I have nothing much else to say except that I would recommend this company every time."

Moved from York to a village in Lincolnshire. Access for a large van at the York property to load was an issue but managed well.

"The three removers (I�m not good with names) arrived the day before the move to begin the packing and removal. The were very professional helpful and friendly. It was a stressful time but their ability and confidence made the move much easier. On the day they worked consistently to clear the house and headed over to Lincoln. They arrived late afternoon but still had a professional and cheery approach to unloading the van, even as it had turned dark. They gave no sense of rushing to get away and all the boxes were placed in the right rooms. A funny story, we have lots of outdoor plants in large pots. It was dark and they were placed around the outside of the house wherever they could. We have had neighbours stop and complement us on the arrangement outside the house and I have to admit, it looks pretty impressive! We tell them that the removal guys did it and they are impressed that they took time to do that! A truly dedicated and professional team."

"They were excellent - there were lots of uncertainty regarding the move as to dates and whether going into storage but they coped with last minute changes very well. In addition we took lots of garden items in a separate van. Staff were efficient and helpful and managed to keep everything clean even though it was wet during unloading."

We moved from Yorkshire to Essex and all the guys from Bootham removals were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble and at both ends of the move they made things for us very easy.

"We had 4 men packing the van in York and this was done smoothly and quickly. The following morning the 2 men who had gone with the van unloaded everything and put it where we wanted. We had a lot of stuff to unload but again it was done efficiently and quickly. They were pleasant and helpful at all times.

full house move - 4-bed to 4-bed across at least 3 counties had to juggle the move around 2 very frustrated cats who needed to be contained so they didn''t escape (Customer packed all items except hanging clothes)

"This was a short-notice removal with just 6 days from initial booking to emptying the first house. Matthew was helpful from the start and responded quickly to my voicemail with dates he could assist. More support with getting packing boxes and some free packing paper and advice on how to pack fragile items (I hadn't moved for 17 years).

Guys arrived promptly (but not too early) on moving day - helpful and cheerful, mindful of our quirky house - beams and cats to dodge. Did a full reccy of the place before they started and worked around us as we finished some final packing - with the extra boxes they brought with them.

Arrived on time to the new address some distance away and unloaded everything as instructed - asked if unsure and suggested answers for things we hadn't thought of... even moved a couple of things twice when we mis-directed them. everything delivered safely and they took care of our new (rental) home as they placed items."

We moved our furniture and belongings into and out of storage when we made a flying return from Spain and suddenly found the stalled chain galvanised into exchange of contracts and completion.

2 bed to 4 bed, nothing too exceptional, other than the previous owners in our new house had packed nothing meaning that Boothams had to work around them to get us moved in, they were very flexible and professional.

"Great Friendly service, the house that we were moving into chose to use another removal company and were in complete chaos compared to Boothams. I can honestly say the bootham removal team made it the most stress free experience.

The team that arrived were friendly and polite and even worked around the chaos caused by the previous owners of our new house.

Can't say thank you enough."
