New felting to all of the roof. Refit original black tiles to the front of property. New pan tiles to the rear roof. Fit leading to parapet walls and leadwork to chimney. Removal and then refit solar panels and electrical re instatement. Fit new velux flashing kits.

"We required a new roof as the old one was leaking and had numerous other issues. We had quotes from several companies but each time the same problem arose in that they were not experienced in removing and refitting our solar panels. It also proved difficult to find a seperate company to deal with the panels most only want to fit new panels. Then a solar company recomended trying Eastern Roofing and life became simple. Jim came promptly and discussed the work the roof required, he was able to deal with removing and refitting the panels no problem and getting the electrician to reinstate and check the system. Our property is on a neighbours boundary so we needed to coordinate access with our neighbour and he was respectful of the need to work with this in mind.
The quote was very detailed including all that is considered best practice. I cannot praise the team enough who worked on our roof they were quiet, efficent, very tidy and completed the work in very good time leaving everything clear and clean. We have a very old property and any problems that arose or were identified as the work was done were easily dealt with after discussion.
I cannot recomend this company highly enough."

Replaced a single storey tiled pitched roof and repaired a leak where the roof joined another part of the building (which 2 other firms had unsuccessfully tried to remedy).

"Eastern roofing were friendly and easy to deal with. They did a very good job sorting out a difficult to deal with leak and replacing a roof. They worked tidily and stuck to the quoted price, I would have no hesitation in using them again in the future."

Reroofing clay pantile roof. Removing and replacing solar panels

"I was very pleased with the quality of work. The roofers worked consistently hard in very cold weather. They were cheerful throughout and explained what was happening. They made every effort to ensure replacement tiles were appropriate.
Although Eastern Roofing was the most expensive, they had experience of working with solar panels that had previously been fitted, and this was one of my reasons for selection. They did find a significant fault with the fitting of the panels which they corrected Another was that they carried out a more detailed examination of the roof prior to giving a quotation.
Whereas the roofers were clean and tidy, unfortunately the scaffolders did leave the area muddy and utidy.
I have no hesitation in recommending Eastern Roofing in fact I have already done so"

I live in a terrace house where the roof over the spare bedroom has a valley with the main roof. A leak had developed in the spare room and also one in the loft area.

"Out of the four firms I called, Jim was the only one to actually get on the roof and look around to find the root cause. His first call-out, he moved some tiles around (for free, no call out charge) and asked me to let him know if the leak continued (as it was only in bad weather).

When it did, Jim did a thorough inspection (he was on the roof a long time, shifting tiles around etc) and showed me photos of the damage and his assessment on the problem.

I had three other firms, all of whom did no inspection themselves and quoted much higher than Jim. Jim also provide two quotes, one for the back roof (including the back bedroom) and another for full roof.

Work commenced a few days after I accepted the Quote (which was actually about 1.5 years after he first gave it, I was saving up for my wedding, same price as originally quote which was great). The scaffolders and then, the roofers, all turned up quickly and early each day. I was kept informed of all work taking place.

From the texts from Jim, my own inspections and some talks with my builder friends, I understand that Jim went over and above to make the roof water-tight. Rebuilding of parts of the Gable Wall, a Bonding Gutter so the gauge on the front-roof could be changed to increase the headlap, adding valley boards (which the previous builder had clearly forgotten).

The work was carried out in a professional manner and to a clearly, high level of detail and care. I usually get misgivings when using tradesmen (years of watching watchog makes you worried!) but wouldn't hesitate to recommend Jim and the team again.

This, coupled with a Ten Year written guarantee which will be a nice touch when/if I sell the house before expiry."

Remove and replace house front cable end / left cable end barge boards, fascia and soffits plus end rafters. Replace all is trip back 3 rows of tiles, remove and replace roller and location. Fit new barge & applying bands, prime undercoat and glass paint as necessary. Repair lead valley.

Of all the firms who came to quote, Tim the owner of Eastern Roofing made an immediate impression as a man of honesty integrity. Not only did he quote the best price, but while doing his evaluation, some missing tiles on my barn (outbuilding) roof that had been blown off by the major wind/storm Feb 2014. He immediately clambered onto the roof and replaced them, to avert rain entering the building! Speaks volumes.

"I was worried about finding good people to repair the roof. I went to the trusted trader link. I hadn't used the firm before but I'm very glad I chose eastern roofing. A family company who have a very supportive attitude. UK Power had to sheath a cable by my roof and eastern roofing organised that; and the scaffolding and skip. I only ever spoke to Eastern roofing; they did everything else. I was kept up to date with all the stages of the preparation prior to the work starting. On site, the men were quiet, industrious and got on with the work. I wholly recommend this company for their friendly attitude and professionalism. The price included VAT."

"A friendly and hard working team. We added to the "brief" during the works and Jim accomodated us with no problems. Indeed, he offered to help with other bits and peices whilst he was on site.
At no point was I concerned about leaving him and his team alone, nor about the quality of the work.
I have used many builders and craftsmen over the years, and Jim is one of the most helpful and responsibly I have come across.
I would recommend him to anyone.

Refelting with new batons and new tiles, spraying of exposed timbers against worm and rot.

"Score on "Tidy" lower due to minor problems of timely removal of skip and scaffolding which we realise was outside of the control of Eastern Roofing but was the subcontractors problem. The work did start one day late but we were happy about this as it enabled the job to be completed in a rain free period. Other than those minor considerations we were very pleased with the with the standard of the work and all other aspects. We have not used this firm before but would be very happy to do so again."
