Constructionline

Constructionline is a register of construction-related contractors and consultants, pre-qualified to work within the public sector (Central Government Departments, Local Authorities, Universities and places of Further Education, and Main Contractors).

Constructionline streamlines the pre-qualification stage, i.e. the first stage of the tendering process. This means that firms do not have to repeatedly fill in pre-qualification forms for each tender.

Constructionline is DTI owned and endorsed, and is a contributor to the Rethinking Construction initiative.

Scottish Decorators Federation

The Scottish Decorators' Federation is the national trade association for all types of firms involved in the decorating industry in Scotland.

Customers using Federation members can contact the Federation for advice relating to any decorating work undertaken by a member firm. In the event that a dispute arises, the customer can contact the Federation who will advise them on the operation of our complaints procedure which involves the use of our Code of Fair Trading.

The Federation also offers a low cost Guarantee of Work Scheme under which all domestic work (within generous financial limits) is guaranteed to be undertaken to a satisfactory standard. In the event of any difficulties arising, the Federation guarantees that the work will be completed either by the original contractor or by another member firm.
