Master Locksmiths Association

The Master Locksmith Association is recognised by the Police and the Home Office as the authoritative body for locksmithing.

Standards are kept high by employment of qualified locksmiths, strict vetting including Criminal Record disclosures and regular inspections. Training is provided to ensure members are up to date with the latest industry developments.

Channels of arbitration exist to fully investigate any complaints or disputes, and the MLA advises or takes any necessary action depending on the outcome.

National Network of Approved Locksmiths

The National Network of Approved Locksmiths was formed in 2003. The goal of the organisation is to provide the public and private sectors with total peace of mind & quality of workmanship when using a locksmith or security professional to solve their security issues or problems.

Every NNAL member has been vetted to make sure they are CRB checked; All NNAL members are issued with a valid ID card so you know who they are; Every NNAL member has a high level of verifiable locksmithing skills and knowledge

Trading Standards - East Ayrshire

The East Ayrshire Council Trusted Trader Scheme is a local business partnership which aims to increase consumer confidence, promote good practice within local businesses and help protect people from doorstep crime.

The Scheme is a directory of local businesses that have been vetted by Trading Standards and who made a commitment to treat their customers fairly. It is based on customer experience and customer feedback. Trader members of the scheme ask their customers after a job is completed to provide feedback on what they thought of the job and the feedback is published on an independent website.

The scheme is managed and administered by Trading Standards which is a part of East Ayrshire Council.
