Special Branch Tree & Hedge Surgery Ltd are a fully insured, Fife based company with a safe and professional approach to all aspects of tree pruning, tree felling, landscape management and hedge cutting work in East Scotland.

We guarantee you a team of highly qualified tree surgeons with expert arboricultural knowledge, years of commercial tree work experience and genuine interest in horticulture.

We always provide a free site survey and a free, no-obligation quote.

We are members of the Fife Trusted Trader Scheme and the only tree surgeons in Scotland to achieve membership of the Guild of Master Craftsmen.

To front garden: Reduce height of 2 x appx 15ft Cherry trees by 30% and thin out and shape crown. Reduce height of appx 15ft Laburnum tree by 30% and thin out and shape crown without losing privacy. In rear garden: Remove dead wood from 18ft Cherry tree (Tree removed in the end as it was dead). Dismantle and remove 25ft Scots Pine tree, leaving stump close to ground. Shape and re-balance 16ft Japanese Larch tree. Trim and shape 16ft Yew tree. Remove dead wood from 30ft Contorted willow tree. Dismantle and remove a self-seeded 25ft Ash tree growing close to house. All waste to be removed. Site to be left safe and tidy.

"From the first enquiry to the finish of this job this company excelled. Mark is a delight to deal with, very easy to talk to and get along with. The team he sent along led by Niall were great. They arrived promptly and after introducing themselves just got on with the task. They are properly kitted out for the work and safety is clearly at the forefront of what they do. The asked if we wanted the Scots Pine for firewood which we declined, but were very helpful to our neighbour who asked them if he could have it. We left them to get on with the job and went off to do our own errands.

When we returned the work was finished, the site was pristine and the road outside where they had chewed up the branches with their machine was immaculate. They had also rather thoughtfully removed a shrub and its roots that I had been struggling with for days with a fork and spade.

I would have no hesitation in recommending this company and I already have another smaller job to ask them to do."

Attend to 18 ft. cherry tree thin branch dismantle and remove all the 5 ft. cypress hedges, grind out all tree stumps, install rustic was edge 45 ft. and make a rockery, lay down membrane over new border area, 10 cm. deep woodchip, topsoil for rockery and make site tidy.

Extensive cutting back of mature trees/hedges to the rear of our garden. All other garden hedges, shrubs etc including very large conifers cut & shaped, a dead rowan tree cut to an ornate stem - pretty well a makeover from an overgrown mess to a restored fresh start.

"The boss clearly understood how to address all the issues. The staff - three men with the strength of nine - arrived with serious machinery including a waste-chipper and shot through the work with amazing skill & did more than was actually undertaken in the first place. A tremendous day's work. Have NO hesitation in hiring this business."

In carrying out his work the team took into account the final shape of the trees and the health of the trees too. The site was cleaned up and apart from the trees you would never know any work had been undertaken. Great team and would recommend without hesitation.
