The job was to install a 3½ m. root barrier next to a boundary fence to control the spread of clump forming Fargesia Bamboo. It involved removing two fence panels, cutting down the Bamboo stems closest to the boundary, digging a narrow trench to an appropriate depth and installing the root barrier. The bed on our side and fence panels were then to be reinstated and crucially the neighbour’s bed of pebbles, numerous garden pots and plants was to be left exactly as found with no dirt/earth on the adjacent patio area.

"The initial job survey was thorough and our concerns taken on board. The 2-man team did an excellent job and we appreciated being asked to see the trench and barrier before it was filled in. We are hopeful that it will do the job. The tidying up was meticulous – having taken photos of the neighbour’s pot and plant display I could not tell the difference between the before and after."

Three large sycamore trees were reduced in height and width. One large tree was removed to just above ground level.

"At the initial survey potential options were discussed and I was given a clear idea of what would be possible. The company then handled the process of gaining council approval - the garden is in a conservation area - and quickly set a date for the work. On the day the team arrived, spoke to me to confirm what was being done and proceeded quickly and efficiently with the work. I spoke to them a number of times about the wood being left and they were always friendly and helpful. At the end the garden was left tidy with areas which had been disturbed during the work fixed.

Overall I was very happy with the entire process."

We had a small conifer, about 5 metres high, growing in the garden, beginning to push over a low brick wall

"We contacted Plantscape, Rupert came round very promptly and gave us an estimate for removal of the tree.

The work was carried out the following week - after the tree was cut down to stump level, we decided that the stump also needed to be removed, the two men were happy to dig it out straight away.

Afterwards, all the garden and the road outside were swept up and the whole site was left in a clean and tidy condition.
We were very pleased with how the work was carried out."

"Approachable and very flexible regards scheduling. We had to work around nesting birds and the availability of neighbouring gardens. Several delays and date changes were accommodated by Plantscape.

Removal of substantial part of fallen holm oak, the work requiring a crane to hoist timber over an historically listed garden wall.

"The removal of the holm oak was not a straightforward project. The fallen part was huge and weighty and needed to be hoisted over a 200 year old brick wall. The project's difficulty was compounded by the necessary crane and lifting equipment having to be sited on a public road and footpath. The process was discussed in detail, scheduled for minimal public access disruption and all necessary permissions obtained in good time from the relevant authorities. The works were carried out and completed safely and on schedule in a most efficient, competent and professional manner. All necessary equipment and machinery was supplied and operated professionally. The site was cleared impeccably. The team were experienced, courteous and hardworking."

"The team at Plantscape were professional from start to finish. Rupert gave good advice on how to care for the various trees and applied for the permissions required. The team onsite were timely and efficient and the work was completed within the time allocated with excellent clean up done at every stage. Two days hard graft reducing the height of a long and very overgrown laurel hedge, trimming both sides from different gardens, taking away all cuttings.

"Plantscape have been professional, courteous and effective from first inspection and pricing through to carrying out the work, removing all cuttings and leaving the garden clean and tidy.

The team arrived on time and completed the hedge cutting in the time estimate even though they encountered lots of brambles that made the job very unpleasant in places. They worked well together, were friendly and informative.

We chose Plantscape to do this work as our family have experience of their tree surgery and hedge work, and we have confidence in their company."

Reduction in the overall dimensions of an established maple tree at the edge of our boundary with two other gardens.

"This was a difficult task involving operation from neighbouring gardens where access had to be negotiated and obstructions such as outhouses and HF antennas had to be avoided. The tree is at the bottom of our garden and requires a considerable distance for haul-out of the cuttings to their chipping machine.

The work was carried out efficiently and effectively, taking accounts of times when I requested that they not run the chipper on account of noise while I was on Zoom meetings. They tidied up our garden as well as the adjacent properties where they had to operate, so that in the end (except for the reduction in the tree) one would not know that they had been there.

My wife and I as as well our neighbours are very satisfied with what has been done"

"Rupert came out to assess our much-loved silver birch tree and advised that, despite our best efforts, it would eventually fail so we decided to remove it..

The team who carried out the work were quick, efficient and courteous. The site was left clean and tidy and you wouldn’t have known the tree had been there when they left.

Rupert was knowledgeable so we trusted his professional opinion and his team, skilled. Both the quote and invoice were clear and easy to understand.

Extensive tree felling and clearance on both wooded and clear terrain on wet and dry ground.

"In my experience over the last five years this firm is the best i have used for tree felli9ng and removal and landscape clearance. They are first class at costing all jobs and agreeing variances where necessary.

Their equipment is always clean and well presented. They are very aware of the risks associated with this work. They are well equiped with both the correct knowledge and equipment as a result.

Unusually for this industry their time keeping is good. Arriving on the agreed day, with any change notiyfd in advance.Their employees are friendly and well presented.

This may sound like a ''send up'' review. This is not the case. They are simply the best firm for this type of business I have dealt with in Norfolk.

The work was lopping 1m off a lengthy 3m tall laurel hedge, and pruning 4 decorative pear trees.

" The whole process - from providing a quotation to clearing up the clippings was undetaken swiftly and efficiently. Adam and Tom, who did the work, were thoroughly professional, courteous and polite. When they had finished, there was no trace that they had been, save for expert lopping and pruning.

They were so efficient that the work was done quicker than expected. In less than 24 hours an invoice was sent with a price considerably below the quotation because of the shorter time spent on the work. This was without me having have to ask.
