Purchase and install replacement Velux window blind (manual blackout blind)

"Tony and his son turned up promptly when they said they would and installed the replacement blind efficiently and with minimum of fuss.

They were both friendly and polite throughout.

I didn't even have to request that they remove their shoes when they came into the house - they both did so automatically and without asking.

I recommend them strongly and will definitely use them in the future when my Velux windows need attention."

"Great and professional service by A R Windows. They did a superb job to expected standards. They left everything neat and tidy and only took a couple of hours, even if the installation was a bit tricky. Apart from the installation, they took good care of the walls and roof. Identify fault, replacement of a control box for 2 VELUX windows.

"The A R Windows team answered a distress call after a VELUX window failed to close following a power cut. We called to ask for help around 9 in the morning and had experts onsite before 11. The control box had failed and a replacement was fitted allowing us to close the window securely. Before the guys left they provided some great advice about our windows and checked both of them over before leaving.

Replacement glazing for 4 Velux windows and 2 obscure windows; repair of opening handle and replacement of felt and servicing of the window frames. Fitting of new black out blinds

"We are so pleased with the replacement glass in our upstairs Velux windows. 6 windows needed the glass replaced. The company provided the complete package with glazing, servicing, repair and installation of new blinds. The work was completed one morning and the areas were left clean and tidy.
AR Windows were quick to respond to our initial enquiry and arranged a site visit shortly, with a quote and explanation of the work they would be doing. They responded quickly to a query regarding the quote.
The whole process was professional and we would recommend this company to anyone who needs Velux glass replaced or new Velux windows."

1,Inspect 2 Velux roof windows which had been installed some 30 years and were in need of attention. 2 Suggest and price recommended actions. 3 Implement chosen recommendations. A total of 6 options were provided and priced. We chose to have both windows replaced with new ones to fit into the existing openings at the current higher specification.

"I needed the work done quickly (before the ceiling was re-plastered by others)and my usual tradesman was unable to undertake the velux work but told me about AR windows.
They inspected the job the morning after I spoke to them and said they could undertake the work within 1 week as long as the parts were delivered in time. They gave me a written quote which included 6 options. I chose the 2 options that would cost the most but provide the best outcome.
We agreed a slight reduction and I placed the order.
The day of expected undertaking I was phoned and told not all the parts had arrived - we arranged a new date 2 working days later and the work was completed on that date"

"The firm was helpful, professional and friendly. They did what they said they would do and offered sound advice for good measure. The replacement window was supplied under the terms of guarantee by Velux and A.R. "I asked for three quotes to replace the glazing units in 5 Velux roof windows, AR Windows responded promptly with an acceptable quote, we communicated by e-mail, I advised I needed new blinds, links were provided and blinds chosen, within two weeks glazing units and blinds were sourced and fitted, no disruption to our lives, everything was done in a tidy professional manner, final bill was as quoted, no surprises, a very good service all round."

Replace SK06 flashing and bed hip tiles

"AR Windows were the 3rd company we contacted to identify and repair a roof leak. On their first visit they established that the Velux flashing was inconsistent with the roofing tiles and were expedient in arranging the replacement flashing kit and undertaking consequent roofing repair. We would rate them as Excellent and would have no hesitation in engaging them to carry out further Velux rectification as required."
