Replacement front door, French doors and 10 windows

"‘NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE’ - DO NOT GAMBLE WITH YOUR HOME
Leaking, draughty windows and doors that were not measured or installed properly. Anglian chose the independent Single Joint Expert who inspected and compiled a report for court……..

‘In my opinion the works to install uPVC doors and windows fall below the minimum standard of workmanship detailed by the Glass and Glazing Federation and compliance with Building Regulations via Fensa; these entail a minimum technical competence scheme for which installers can be registered via a card scheme. Anglian Home Improvements appear to have not complied with these minimum standards and as a result have not provided windows and doors that are fit for purpose’.

These are an experts words and not mine. I reiterate that Anglian chose this expert and in his opinion Anglian do not meet the minimum standards of the two main bodies that are supposed to be there to ensure Anglian are held to account.

In 3 years Anglian have gone out of their way to be unhelpful. They refused every request to repair or replace. Anglian in February 2023 unsuccessfully tried to get an injunction to stop me from posting on social media and review sites such as this one."

Anglian provided a quote to replace a glass panel in a conservatory roof damaged in a storm in March 2022. To preserve the warranty they had to carry out the work. I accepted the quote of just under £1,100 and paid in full as required.

"Nine months later they have not provided the glass panel that has been paid for, or given me a date when they can do the work.

Each time I contact them, I have to repeat my story and am promised a call back which rarely happens. I have supplied a copy of their receipt acknowledging payment as 'they cannot find any trace on their system.'

If this matter ever gets resolved I will never do any business with Anglian Home Improvements again and would urge other people to think very carefully. I recommend reading more reviews from websites other than Anglian's own website, to find out what they are really like.
