A house move with a collection and delivery from a storage unit too. The move consisted of general household items and a number of large furniture items.

"We have recently moved house and could not recommend Martell's enough. They made a somewhat stressful process very easy, and almost enjoyable! The team were friendly, timely, polite and extremely helpful. It was a pleasure to have them helping us for the few days. From the initial phone call and visit to the house, to the packing and moving day, the whole experience was really great. We would like to mention Ed and Gav in particular who are fantastic!"

We were moving from a bungalow - but it was something of a Tardis! As keen gardeners, DIYers and crafters, we had huge quantities of "things that might come in useful one day" - probably a remover''s nightmare!

"The move was carried out over 4 days - Monday and Wednesday to load; Friday (completion day) to load final essentials, then start delivery to new home. Saturday to deliver the bulk of our effects. This was really helpful, as it gave us breathing space (and actual space!) to finish packing, and start unpacking.

The team couldn't have been more helpful. Obviously their job was to get everything off the vans and into our new property, but if they noticed us trying to move something heavy they would stop what they were doing and offer to help.

Wednesday was a really wet day, and unfortunately that was the day to clear the garden stuff. But the team remained focussed and even cheerful throughout. We really were very impressed and delighted."

"Excellent service from Martell’s - friendly, efficient and hard working removal firm.

Planning in the move date was tricky and Martell’s accommodated with flexibility and understanding. Made the move the most stress-free experience.

"The 3 men who moved us were efficient, helpful, polite and nothing was too much trouble for them, making the process so much less stressful than it could have been.
When we arrived at our new property 3 more men helped withe unloading making it a much quicker process for all involved.....excellent service"

I recently moved to Devon having stored my goods with Martell’s for the past year. Arranging the day of removal was very easy and professionally done. The day arrived and the two guys turned up on time and were extremely good at their job. It wasn’t the easiest job as it was a first floor flat without a lift. One item was very heavy (sofa bed) but was handled well I would like to thank all Martell Company for a job extremely well done

"Martells did what the packet said. They stored my items extremely well and they both collected and delivered my goods professionally. They were very nice to deal with. I would certainly recommend them to anyone who would need a removal company. I have know the company Martells for many years. This was not the first time that I have used them. 4 bed detached house move and relocation. We packed boxes ourselves.

"The Team at Martell’s were just brilliant from the first call to the last plant pot unpacked. We were having trouble with the firm we’d been recommended locally and the martells brochure came through the door, so gave them a try. Really polite and the video call made the quote really accurate. They were flexible on dates and turned up on time and full of enthusiasm, even in the freezing cold. Little extra bits were no trouble. The team were polite, careful and I’d recommend them in a heartbeat. The price was competitive too. Huge thanks, Charlie."

My move was a journey of 150 miles and the removal team were courteous and professional thorough. Everything was loaded and unloaded with care. No items were damaged.

"The removal team had a long journey from Sussex to my house but started loading the lorry immediately after they arrived and did so with great care and attention. Unloading the lorry was done with the same care with the crew asking where boxes and belongings should be placed if they were unsure. No items were damaged and the crew were polite and professional throughout the move. I would use Martells again without hesitation and would recommend them to anyone considering moving house."

I was most impressed by the speed with which Martell''s said they could do my move once Edward had come round, given an estimate and checked there was a crane available to move the Bluthner out of the house I was selling. It had arrived with a crane and needed the same to get it out of the property.

"The company was readily contactable and both Georgia and Adam have great phone manners - they're good communicators.
On the day arranged to pack as much as possible three men arrived - they were friendly and relaxed which made the whole thing much easier.

Then on the day I left the house, two men came and finished the packing and loading - both days they arrived when they said they would.

They handled the piano with consummate ease which allayed my fears and I know it's been in good hands because it sounds perfect in the new flat - it will need tuning of course in a while.
The removal men were kind, amusing and pleasant which made the process as OK as it could be given how difficult moving is.
I thought I was missing some items but Edward found them in a shed outside when he came with Oscar to deliver my potted plants. I had overlooked the shed because it wasn't mine!
Nothing is missing.

A brass handle on a Queen Anne chest of drawers has been found in one of their vans for which I am extremely grateful - they took the time to look for a small thing like a handle.
That says it all!

I take my hat off to everyone at Martell's - they did an extremely good job and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone else moving house.

I wish they'd come to unpack my remaining boxes but that is over and beyond! They are thoroughly professional and go the extra mile which means a lot when your life is turned upside down for a few weeks.

I feel very lucky to have found out about them.

"Martells provided an excellent service from start to finish. Edward visited us prior to the move and he was very friendly and professional. He was very informative about everything regarding each stage of our move.
We had three removal men over a period of two days when we moved. Mark, Connor and Terry. Again very friendly and professional and nothing was too much trouble for them. They made the whole experience so much easier. Many thanks to you guys for working so hard and also giving Reuben our dog so much fuss, he loved it !
We will eventually be moving to Spain in a few years and will definitely be using Martells again."

5 bedrooms house with large garden to 4 bedroom on a high street, with double yellow lines and awkward access.

"This was the least stressful of our 3 moves. The office were helpful and the ladies gave me tips on how to best pack items. They were generous with the boxes and tape, so we didn’t feel pressured to pack things in. On the day they were punctual and polite, asking before moving things and checking what was staying with the house. When we moved to our new property on a busy high street they asked they communicated politely with the neighbours and helped people cross the road when it got tricky. Moved out but couldn''t complete the same day. I had guys come the day before to pack and then 2 containers went into storage. The following day they arrived to complete packing and load another 3 containers into storage.

"This was all done so professionally and in a kind caring manner. Everything was packed so well and when everything was delivered to my new property over 2 weeks later it was marked on the box as to what was inside and put in the rooms I wanted. From the moment I called the office speaking to carole and changing my dates quite a few times I was well looked after and reassured at all times. I can only say I have received excellent service from start to finish.

The whole experience of moving is very stressful but Martells made my life so much easier and taking the pressure off by packing everything for me and then transporting my goods 2 weeks later after being stored with them. Would definitely recommend the company."
